The cottage is believed to be at least 150 years old. There are the remains of 2 bread ovens and it may be that the building was once a bakery for the hamlet. The house has a large lounge / dining area with a lovely wood burner. Outside the back door is a private patio. The cottage has priority access to a large heated in ground swimming pool with pool alarm. The pool is heated throughout the late spring and into the autumn. Also there is a 1 acre private nature reserve close to the property and plenty of places to walk and enjoy the peace and quiet.
In the spring and early summer there are many summer visiting birds to supplement our native ones nesting nearby....Hoopoes, Golden Orioles, Nightingales, Kites and Shrikes to name just a few....In the spring and autumn we witness thousand of "Grue" Grey Cranes are a splendid sight and sound.
In the summer months the reserve, the young cider orchard and the large meadow are alive with butterflies.
