About Dee and Peter Smith
Peter and Dee Smith. We moved to Wales in 1996. We started off as smallholders but decided simply to share our lovely location with others. The Holiday Cottage was an old Barn when we moved in containing nothing more than a vintage Rolls Royce which was worth more than the cottage itself. Sadly the previous owners moved it before we arrived. We have a couple of dogs, an old Jack Russell called Bod and a middle aged Lurcher called Lucy. Bod potters around all day but Lucy is always supervised as she has a taste for my chickens! At present we have three cats and our fields are full of ewes and lambs and cattle. These change with the seasons. The Barn has been a holiday cottage for seven years now and we look forward to many more lovely guests arriving in the future The main cottage at Tyn-y-fron recently featured on BBC Wales Coming Home as the former home of the great grandfather of Welsh Athlete Iwan Thomas.

peaceful
Had a very relaxing weekend here. Scenery beautiful.
Great place for our Autumn week-end
Ideally located for exploring the Dee valley..... Charming/quaint very comfortable....Verandah ideal for evening sitting out...... Spiral staircase could be challenging for some people.
Really glad you liked the cottage. We do say on our write up that the cottage isn't really suitable for people with mobility problems so hopefully the spiral staircase won't prove too much of a problem to those that wish to visit us.
Good that you liked it. Lots of people love sitting out on the porch at night.
Beautiful, unique place to stay stunning views.
Very comfortable.
Cosy cottage, ideally situated.
A comfortable base from which to explore Snowdonia national park. Perfectly placed to reach all areas of the park. I have used HomeAway twice now with no problems.
