My husband and I bought No.9 Tiger Lane approximately one year ago and spent time refurbishing the property to create a modern yet comfortable base for guests to enjoy. We have lived in a nearby village for many years so know Beverley well and what it has to offer. We were attracted to the central location of the property as it offers guests the opportunity to enjoy Beverley's attractions and amenities - especially the many places to dine - without always having to use the car.
Why Sara Glover chose Beverley
The property is so convenient for all that Beverley has to offer, with its many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The picturesque pastures of the Beverley Westwood are right on the doorstep for picnics or evening strolls. If you want a day without the car, it's easy to hop on a bus or a train to the coast or visit the attractions of York, Leeds or Harrogate. Hull is only 15 minutes away by train where you can visit the art gallery, its many free museums or The Deep - one of the world's most spectacular aquariums.

The central location of 9 Tiger Lane allows guests to enjoy its many cafes, bars and restaurants without having to use a car as all are within walking distance. Although lying in the heart of the Georgian Quarter of Beverley, Tiger Lane is tucked away off North Bar Within, so enjoys peace and quiet, with the picturesque pastures of the Beverley Westwood also within a few minutes stroll away from the front door.

Second time for us at this lovely townhouse just minutes from the centre of Beverley. Superb location and can't fault the house. Parking is a bit tight if you have a large vehicle but we were in a Mini so no problem!

Quiet but central location, easy and trouble-free stay
This property is ideally located for the centre of Beverley, and yet you are so close to the Westwood too and it is very quiet. It had everything we needed for our few days in the town. Yes, the car port is a tight squeeze, and it is worth bearing in mind that it is not just the width of the car that has to be considered, but length of car too, especially if you have a tow bar!
Delightful house in fabulous location
We are two fairly well travelled ladies from Australia who wanted to spend 2 weeks in an area of the UK we had spent little time in previously so we chose Yorkshire. After some research we decided on Beverley as it seemed fairly central. It turned out to be the perfect choice for us. What a special and charming market town and Sara's house in Tiger Lane was the perfect location and size. Who could not love a town with 30 plus pubs, markets twice a week and really friendly people.
The house is so conveniently situated to walk both around town and in the open fields surrounding the town. The weather was amazing and the back courtyard was just perfect for morning and evening meals and or drinks.
The WiFi worked really well throughout the house.

Close to everything in Beverley
Was staying in Beverley for a friend's wedding. Found that Tiger lane is really the best place to be in town! Close to everything including groceries, restaurants and pubs and as we found, very close to the Registry office and the reception venue :-) Plenty of room upstairs (so three women weren't on top of each other), large kitchen with everything you need to cook up a storm and lovely little courtyard out the back for evening drinks. Had a great time and will return to Tiger lane if am ever back in Beverley.

Excellent, well equipped property
We were really pleased with the accommodation, which was spacious, immaculately clean and equipped with everything you need. It is well placed in Beverley being close to all amenities, including the bus station. We love the area and hope to come and stay again.

Hornsea with its beach and Mere lies some 13 miles from Beverley.
Bridlington with its bustling beaches and Old Town lies some 22 miles from Beverley.
Scarborough offers a full day out by the sea, some 56 minutes drive from Beverley.
Humberside International Airport: 30 minutes drive.
Beverley and East Yorkshire is accessible from the UK's motorway network connecting with the M62, M1, A1, M180 and M18.
If travelling by rail, services offer direct trains from London Kings Cross, Sheffield, Manchester and York, with local connections giving access from Hull to Beverley.
P&O Ferries operate overnight crossings from Rotterdam (Holland) and Zeebrugge (Belgium) into Hull.

Beverley offers many interesting independent shops and a good selection of eating places from fine dining to wine bars, bistros and cafes. Yorkshire has recently been named as the Third Best Place to Visit in the World by Lonely Planet, with its many stately homes and gardens including Burton Agnes Hall, Burton Constable Hall, Benningborough Hall and Castle Howard. The Deep in Hull is one of the most spectacular aquariums in the world, home to 3,500 fish including Europe's only pair of green sawfish, sharks and rays and, new for 2014, a colony of Gentoo penguins. For modern art lovers, Yorkshire is also home to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park at West Bretton, near Wakefield, and the Hepworth in Wakefield itself, both of which are an easy hour's drive from Beverley. Slightly further afield is the magnificent Yorkshire coastline, offering a traditional seaside experience at Filey, Bridlington and Scarborough and, further north, the charms of Whitby with its connections to Captain James Cook and the inspiration for Bram Stoker's 'Dracula'. Within a short distance from Beverley are such varied delights as the gentle rolling hills of the Wolds, the inspiration for David Hockney's later work and where a David Hockney Trail of his favourite painting locations can be followed. Closer to home, you can enjoy the thrill of the races with a day at Beverley Races - within walking distance of No.9 Tiger Lane. With two bars, a cafe and an a la carte restaurant in the Premier Enclosure, four bars in the Grandstand and paddock, you will be spoilt for choice for food and drinks.
