Butterbee House holiday lets
About Linda Hilsdon
We are a family who live at Butterbee House and have two holiday lets on site, The Beehive and The Chrysalis.
Linda Hilsdon purchased this House in 2006
Why Linda Hilsdon chose Callington
Butterbee House is centrally located between the rugged north Cornwall coast and the south coast. Devon and its many attractions are within close proximity, as are the fabulous Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor. We are in a peaceful position with great views surrounded by fields, yet within walking distance of amenities, pubs and restaurants.
What makes this House unique
There is plenty of off-road parking, a private secluded garden with fire pit and BBQ. As we live close by, we are available should you have any queries or require tourist information.
100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
Very modern and clean accommodation , Linda the owner was very hospitable, would recommend.
Lovely views and very dog friendly, had a huge garden for them to run round.
Nice property -but outside seating arrangement not for us.
We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It is lovely & spacious, modern & has a really good view. The location is good for trips out & for walking especially to Kitts Hill which has fantastic views right down to Plymouth. Unfortunately the outside space didn't really work for us as the larger table was outside the neighbouring smaller holiday cottage & we couldn't really bring ourselves to sit outside their french doors - it just felt awkward! Apart from that we highly recommend the property.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay - coincidentally, a new patio area is being planned for next season so both holiday lets will have ample outside seating areas.
Thank you for your review.
We enjoyed a wonderful family holiday at Beehive holiday house.
We found the Beehive light, spacious and beautifully decorated. It was clean and had amazing views. Linda and her husband were great hosts and made us and the children feel at home. We enjoyed eating dinner on the patio and boys loved playing football and cricket in the grounds. It was easy access to lovely beaches and interesting towns to visit. Lots of great pasties and Cornish ice-creams not too far away. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Perfect place for a relaxing holiday
Everything about this place was perfect. Both of us said, wow as we opened the patio door.
The property was very clean and spacious.Beds were very comfy. The views were amazing .This place was the best place we have stayed in by far and both of us did not want to leave.
Thankyou Linda for making our stay so special.
See you next year

Top of the Class
If you are staying in this area, look no further, you will not find better accommodation or hosts. The photographs say it all. Quality, clenliness, peace.
Very attractive place to stay
We have just stayed in the Beehive for 2 weeks. The accommodation is bright and airy, with great views. The ground floor is open plan so we were kept on our toes, at times, by our 1 year old grandson. The travel cot and highchair were very useful. The kitchen is very well equipped - I managed to make and decorate 130 cupcakes for our son's wedding during the first week!
It is an ideal base for visiting many of the attractions in Cornwall. We really enjoyed Cothele house and quay, National Trust properties that are close by (without grandson!).
Linda and family are very friendly and welcoming.
I would recommend this property to family and friends visiting the area.
