About Ros Clarke
Our family has lived in North Devon for several years so we have always visited and holidayed there. As our children grew older we thought they would not want to go any more, but as adults they are now taking their children, so we thought we would buy somewhere for anyone to enjoy, any time. We love our chalet and feel very lucky that we own such a fabulous place so ideally located.
Ros Clarke purchased this Chalet in 2005
Why Ros Clarke chose Bideford
Location, location, location! Sea views and walking distance to amenities and beach, good size rooms and well kept site and chalet.

Lovely surprisingly large chalet. Fantastic views of the sea, very close to westward ho beach(3 min walk).lovely quiet spot, after a hectic day in the sea it was great to comeback for some r&r to a lovely little base. Definitely recommend this chalet.
Lovely family holiday
We stayed here with our two boys (7 & 11). The place was perfect for us. Beach on our doorstep and great activities nearby too. We had a great holiday and all really enjoyed it.
Good experience. Would go again. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Another great holiday!
Our second fabulous holiday at number 92! We definitely hope to return. Thank you
Lovely chalet very close to the seafront
As a family of 4, there was plenty of space. The kitchen was well equipped and two modern TVs. Ros provided helpful information in advance and in the chalet. Lovely small holiday park with area of grass in front of the chalet which the children could play in. Reception were very helpful and for a donation we borrowed buckets and spades, a windbreak and a body board. Best thing was the location though. Very close to the seafront which was great for walking around and getting to the beach, rock pools and the cafes / attractions. Would definitely book again :-)
Thank you very much for your comments. We're glad you enjoyed our holiday home and the attractions of Westward Ho!, and look forward to welcoming you again.

The site is on the seafront which is pebbly at high tide, sandy at low tide. The main access to the huge sandy beach is through the village, about 5 minutes walk away. The beach at Westward Ho! stretches into the distance and is never crowded. There is plenty of room on this Blue Flag beach for sand castles, cricket, rounders, or a more gentle game of boules. It's one of the best areas for surfing. There are lots of rock pools for exploring and a swimming pool built into the rocks with lifeguards.
Nearest railway Barnstaple 10km. National Coach stop 50m away. Buses run every 15 minutes to Barnstaple, Ilfracombe and other local towns. Approximately 50 minutes by car from J27 of M5 along the North Devon Link Road. Once here, car not required except to explore the local area!
Bideford 3 miles, Barnstaple 10 miles, Clovelly 10 miles, Appledore 3 miles
There are a few supermarkets in the village which are open from early morning until 10pm. There are plenty of pubs which serve food, the Waterfront Inn has an indoor ball pool and fun room for children as well as large garden with play areas. There are restaurants of all kinds; Thai, Chinese, Pizza, carvery etc. It is a couple of minutes' walk in the other direction to the Pier House, a seafront restaurant/bar with lovely outside terrace. There is also entertainment including mini disco here in high season which is free for anyone to use.
Golden Bay is ideally positioned for exploring the beautiful unspoilt countryside, beaches and coves of North Devon and Cornwall. Westward Ho! facilities include golf, walking, surfing, go-karting, mini golf, sand yachting, horse riding, fishing and canoeing. There is a swimming pool built into the rocks which has daytime lifeguards. Exploring the rock pools is a popular pastime, as is crab fishing off the quay at nearby Appledore.
Westward Ho! nestles under the Tors, leading directly onto the South West coastal path. To the east is Northam Burrows and the Royal North Devon Golf Club, which is England's second oldest club. There is also a course at Saunton Sands, a twenty minute drive away and one at Barnstaple.
Around the headland lies the ancient port town of Bideford. The quaint fishing villages of Clovelly and Appledore are close by. The market town of Barnstaple is a short drive away with its many High Street shops and indoor shopping centre. A couple of miles away is The Atlantic Village – a Factory Outlet centre boasting famous names at greatly reduced prices, including children's activities and many cafés. There are local fishing trips, boat trips and even a helicopter ride to to Lundy Isle. Local attractions for all ages also include the Big Sheep.
North Devon offers the perfect holiday location, with huge beaches and sandy coves, rugged moors and picturesque villages. There are plenty of family activities and days out exploring nearby.
