Great location and lovely cottage
Had a wonderful stay over Christmas here. The cottage is well located within the village; close to several bars, cafes and shops. Well laid out and very warm. Would stay again.
Thanks for the review, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay and would love to have you visit again. Seasons greetings to you and your family.
This quaint cottage was ideally situated for walking in Snowdnia or on the coast. Also there are several convenient eateries in Betws- y Coed.
We couldn't use the second bedroom as it wasn't convenient for bathroom vists but I did manage to sleep in a bunk Bed!
The living room was dimly lit and would benefit from a reading light.
Also beware of the step down into the living room.
We arrived at the property at 5 o'clock and the cleaners/maintenance couple were in the property, they told us to be very careful in the garage/outbuilding as the roof has fallen in and not been repaired, also they told us there was a wasp nest directly above the back door, again nothing done about it so we were unable to use the back yard at all for our stay.
We had to spend the first 2 hours of our first evening cleaning the property as it was very dirty, kitchen worktops filthy and cobwebs all over the house but once that was done it wasn't too bad.
Good points are it is perfectly situated for everything you need to do around the area and the village is beautiful, we will definitely return to Betws-y Coed.
Also the alarm to the property doesn't work and the code for the door key was incorrect, luckily the cleaners were there to let us in.
Despite all this we did eventually have a lovely week.
Needs updating slightly
Betws-y-Coed is a lovely village, offering shopping and restaurants. Very central for visiting other areas. Our accomodation was ok just needed a little bit of updating, found the double bed to be very hard, no outside table and chairs and slightly overgrown with brambles.
Beautiful, roomy cottage in perfect location for all amenities
The property is well maintained, clean and spacious. The owner was easily contactable and left a lovely welcome basket for us. Ideally situated for walking distance to shops, pubs, restaurants and lovely scenic walks. The village is perfect for short drives to all the main acvities in the Snowdonia area.
