Woodmanwray Chapel is a newly converted former chapel. Originally built in 1839, it now provides stylish and comfortable accommodation for up to 6 people in a peaceful location in beautiful Nidderdale. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and downstairs there is a large open plan living area with a double sofa bed, dining area and comfortable seating. The kitchen and utility rooms are separate and well equipped. A travel cot and high chair are available on request. The Chapel has been thoughtfully furnished to create a home from home whatever the time of year. It is well insulated with underfloor heating and a log burning stove, for cosy evenings whatever the weather. There is plenty of enclosed outdoor space for ball games and picnics and room to park several cars. Secure storage for bikes is available in a locked bike shed. Nidderdale is a quiet and attractive base for walking and cycling holidays, yet it is only a short car ride from Harrogate with its many amenities. Excellent food shops and restaurants are within easy reach in Pateley Bridge and there are several local pubs within a 10 minute drive.

About Alison Simpson
My name is Alison Simpson and I live with my family on a neighbouring farm. If you come to Woodmanwray Chapel you will probably meet some of our farm animals! You may well see our sheepdogs being trained and we will certainly bring you some of our eggs. We are really proud of the Chapel and hope that all of our visitors will love it as much as we do. We think you will find that Nidderdale is a great place to visit.
Alison Simpson purchased this Cottage in 2013
Why Alison Simpson chose Harrogate
Its a great location as its really quiet and peaceful, yet there is lots to do just a short drive away. Harrogate with its restaurants and shops is only a 20 minute drive away and from there you can take a train to the amazing city of York. Nidderdale offers charming scenery, lots of 'foodie' shops and friendly people. There are ideas for walks and cycle rides in the cottage and for kids of all ages there are gorges to walk, rocks to climb and rivers to paddle in.
What makes this Cottage unique
Although the Chapel is completely modernised it still retains a lot of its original charm in the stained glass windows and stone sun porch.

Lovely well appointed cottage
The cottage is in a very peaceful situation, there is everything you need. The owner generously leaves basic supplies, tea, coffee, milk, cake etc. The cottage is very clean, this was our second visit and we would happily book the cottage again.
Thanks for your lovely comments and for leaving everything so clean and tidy - perfect guests!
Fantastic stay. Beautiful location, quiet and away from it all. Gorgeous place, everything we needed
Really well presented. Genuinely enjoyable stay.
Thanks for your lovely comments and thanks for leaving everything so clean and tidy! We hope you will come and visit the area again.
Beautiful cottage, just perfect
The Chapel conversion is exceptional. It is modern well equipped and decorated with lots of little quirky nods to its history which add character. There is a great visitors guide with lots of ideas of walks you can do in the area. The 2 bedrooms are a good size with plenty of storage space. The 2 beds 2 bathrooms was perfect for our needs. The WiFi is good, we didn't turn the TV on or venture into the games chest. The property is warm and cosy so didn't need to use the log fire, but it was set up in case we did. We will be back as there is lots more to see and do on the area and the cottage is the perfect location.
Thanks for your lovely comments! We look forward to welcoming you back soon!
Very well equipped cottage in beautiful location
great location for exploring Harrogate, Yorkshire Dales and Nidderdale. The cottage is very well equipped, the utility room was very useful for wet clothes and muddy boots! Excellent showers and lovely addition having a decent bath. The homemade cake and milk in the fridge was very welcomed after a long journey. The phone signal is very poor but WiFi is excellent. Pateley Bridge is only less than 10 minutes drive and is a nice place to potter round and pick up supplies.
Thanks for your lovely review! We're glad you had a good stay and hope that you will return to see more of the area.
