About Christine Gregson
Hi! I am Christine Gregson and together with my husband, George, we own and run two self-catering cottages and two static caravans. In 1990 we purchased Seagull Cottage in Seahouses, a converted fisherman's cottage just a stone's throw from the harbour where one can obtain one of the most iconic views in Northumberland - Bamburgh Castle. There are miles of beautiful sandy beaches nearby but we are well located for shops, restaurants etc. Nine years ago we also purchased Dalilea Bungalow, Acharacle, Argyll in Ardnamurchan, after falling in love with the area and its breathtaking scenery. We own 2.5 acres and have installed 2x 30ft. caravans for our guests, many of whom are repeat bookers. Indeed, our own children and their families love the area where they delight in many outdoor sports.

Why Christine Gregson chose Seahouses
The Northumbrian coastline is a special place with the most amazing beaches with many coastal walks and breathtaking views. The walk from Seahouses to Bamburgh Castle is just on the doorstep or one can walk from the cottage to Beadnell with it's lovely bay - ideal for families with young children. An afternoon can be spent enjoying the bustling harbour, watching the boats arrive from the Farnes or fishermen landing their daily catch. Seahouses is an ideal base for walking, golfing, fishing and bird watching or simply idling away the time looking in rock pools or meandering along the beach. It is an ideal base for touring to Holy Island, and the stately homes of the borders, Berwick, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Durham. The superb Alnwick Garden is 13 miles away and well worth a visit.

Comfortable home a few yards from harbour and well positioned for exploring this amazing coastline.
House cosy, clean and comfortable kitchen had all the necessaries and lots of hot water for soaks in the bath. Owners helpful and got back right away. Loved being able to step out of the door and walk 100 yards to view sunset over Bamburgh Castle. Enjoyed my stay.
Many thanks for your kind review about Seagull Cottage. We do our up most to ensure that our guests have a wonderful holiday. Although the cottage is close to all amenities I.e. shops, restaurants, bars and cafes, the street itself is usually very peaceful. With regards to the view of Bamburgh Castle, one can sit at any time of day on the seats overlooking the harbour.
Nice clean cosy cottage in a good location near all amenities.
Many thanks for your kind review. We appreciate that you have taken the time to do this. We do hope you will come again.
Needs updating and cleaning.
We are sorry that you feel this way about your stay in our cottage. We understand the property is not "top notch", but it is cosy and very comfortable and we have many good reviews. The prices charged are very reasonable for a decent sized house in a good location.
Apart from the beginning, where we found that we were not actually expected, despite having paid and had confirmation emails everything went well. The initial problem was soon sorted and we found the cottage to be very clean with a well appointed kitchen and comfortable beds. Excellently located for cafes, shops, the beach and harbour, everything necessary for a seaside holiday right on the doorstep. We had a fabulous time
Sorry about the initial mix up. Glad you all enjoyed your stay in our property and that you had a fabulous time up in the north east coast.
Great cottage right by the harbour
The cottage has a fantastic location with a view right across the harbour towards the castle. Excellent. Parking was available all week for us right outside the house and everything you needed was in the cottage.
So pleased that you enjoyed your weeks stay at Seagull Cottage. Thank you for your favourable review. Look forward to seeing you again.
Lovely cottage in a central location
This cottage was the perfect place for my 5 year old and I to stay for a week. There is an extremrly comfy double bed and then a twin room where my son slept. The cottage has everything required for a week's stay including WiFi, a TV with an integral DVD player and a fully functional kitchen including fridge freezer, microwave,, kettle, toaster and washing machine. There is a small back yard which is suitable for drying clothes.
This cottage was the perfect base for our holiday. It's only a few minutes away from an array of local eateries, pubs, shops and of course the lovely sandy beach. Being based in Seahouses you also have the option to go north to Bamburgh, Berwick and Lindisfarne or south to Alnwick, all of which are within 30-40 mins drive.
I will definitely come back here in the future!
Thank you for your kind review. We are so pleased you and your son enjoyed your stay in our property. The Northumberland coast is a wonderful place to stay, as is the whole county.
We look forward to having you both stay with us in the future again.
