The property Is in a good location, clean, but lacking in homely comforts.
The property is in a good location for Marazion, parking space great. The property was clean on arrival, but would benefit from a refresh of decoration and homely touches e.g. pictures, more crockery and comfortable furniture to relax on.
Thank you. As mentioned elsewhere in other reviews, our cottages are redecorated very 2 years. Other guests have found our cottages homely, well-equipped and comfortable. The cottage is fully equipped for 4 people, and there were only 2 guests for this booking, so how much crockery can 2 people need? Had this been mentioned to us at the time, we could have sorted out whatever extra was needed - it wasn’t, so we’ll never know. The cottage already has large comfortable sofas to relax on, so we don’t know what this reviewer is referring to. As for pictures, most people are more than happy with the wonderful views from the house and garden. However, this point has cropped up once before, so we’ll be adding some pictures in the near future. However, none of this would seem to merit only a 2-star grading, which seems to be rather harsh and unjustified by this review.
Perfect location from which to explore
Everything that was needed to cater for our needs for the week. If staying here I highly recommend The Fire Engine Inn for evening refreshments and food.
Neat cottage with stunning view
We had a lovely time at this neat little cottage. It has an “upstairs living” arrangement with living and dining areas upstairs, benefiting from direct sea views.
The small garden with a bench is higher than the living space and also has direct sea views together with a view of St Michael’s Mount. The hosts were very accommodating.
Peaceful stay in pleasant place
The house is very well equipped with everything you could possible need for a stay - unless you must have a dishwasher. The owners are friendly and helpful and communicated really well before and during our stay without being intrusive. Nothing was a trouble. Don't believe a word of the negative reviews - some people clearly have their own agenda or are not in touch with reality. The views of the castle are great from the garden and although there is a limited view of the castle from the lounge, but there are lovely views of the sea from the upstairs rooms (it is an upside-down house). Would highly recommend for a short or long stay as it is in a good location, just minutes walk from the town and beach and very accessible to all of West Cornwall and the Lizard.
A wonderful break
The cottage is in a very quiet location, at the end of a short lane. It was very spacious, there were only two of us, but as it has a double and twin room it's worth pointing out that 2 couples would be perfectly comfortable. The view from the garden is a nice bonus. The hosts were great, very helpful, both with questions about the cottage as well as local facilities and things to do.

A spacious, clean well presented cottage with great view of St Michaels mount from the garden.
Nothing was to much trouble for the owners Richard & Sarah who were very helpful and friendly.
