Excellent location, lovely village, beautiful cottage.
From begining to end, our break to polperro was fantastic, we loved it as in march there is no one much about and not much open except the pubs.
Amazing Polperro property
Quirky 3 story quayside home. It'a warm & cosy, right in the centre of shops pubs post office on the edge of water, every window has a magnificent view, harbour one side English chanell on the other. We will leave with regret and fond memories
We had a lovely weekend, would recommend.
Small, dark gloomy cottage
Firstly a positive, the twin beds were very comfortable.
Negative, small, dark, narrow stairs and awkward to use. Cottage being situated on a main walkway meant keeping the curtains mainly closed and have people regularly look in when they were open. Cottage smelt damp and musty especially in the kitchen. Bathroom too small and sink barely usable. Did not want to spend much time in the cottage.Arrived Saturday evening, went home Wednesday morning.
Thank you for taking time to review the cottage. I am disappointed with some of you comments as you did not raise them during your stay when I could have dealt with the one that is within my control.
In response unfortunately due to the location of the cottage In the heart of the Village there is little I am able to do about people walking past the front window.
The size of the stairs and bathroom are out of my control due to the age and original features of the property. The sink in the bathroom can not be made larger as there is not the room.
The one item I can only apologise for is the musty smell in the kitchen - I will look in to this and rectify it.
Apologies again your stay at Waterside was not what you had hoped for and was such a disappointment.
Wonderful Seaside Holiday.
Polperro is lovely and the location of the cottage is perfect. The cottage has everything you need, is comfortable and cosy. You can just look out of the window and see the harbour and coming and going of the boats which we never got bored of.
On Wednesday evening myself and son paddled in the sea whilst listening to the Polperro choir, which is a memory I wont forget. Two family friendly pubs 30 seconds from your door which has local beer and cider as well as the freshest fish dishes.
Crabbing, rock pooling and boat trips are right on you doorstep as well as bakers, groceries and ice cream. Dont worry about the lack of parking space as the village car park is huge.
The communication from Emma the owner was brillant. She sent lots of useful information and nade me feel that she was just a phone call away if needed.
Would love to return.
Polperro has a natural beach and is within 50 metres of Waterside. It also boasts a natural rock/tidal swimming pool on the cliffs. Looe is four miles away and has a permanent beach. Talland Bay is along the coast and can accessed by road or by a beautiful 1.5 mile cliff walk. There are many beaches dotted along the coastline some accessible only on foot or by boat but well worth the find. Lantic Bay and Lantivet Beach are amongst these. There are surfing beaches at Newquay one hour's drive.
