About mrs naomi thompson
We converted the barn about 10 years ago and have lived here ever since. We are a family with 3 kids and dog and a cat.
mrs naomi thompson purchased this Barn in 2001
Why mrs naomi thompson chose Saint Erth
We bought the barn as it was such a beautiful building. When you stand in the garden you can often hear nothing but the birds. The location suits us really well. The lane is incredibly quiet but its a short drive to everywhere we need to be.
Pets are welcome between September and May.
Dogs are welcome from September to May.
Dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms or on furniture
Owls House will not be suitable if you want to go out for extended periods and leave your dog alone in the property.

Owl's house was just as described, very well equipped for every need, the weather was just about the worst Cornwall could throw at us but going back to the house soon made up for it, so warm and cosy. We had two dogs with us that found the enclosed garden a great place to explore. We would certainly recomend Owl's house to anyone.
Thank you Naomi x
Peaceful location, excellent accommodation, easy access to Hayle and A30.
The owl house - fantastic location
We stayed at this property for 2 weeks in Aug, our first impression was that the location was fab. It was close to the beaches, close to many days out and also close to a supermarket - yet still rural enough to be quiet. We found an information book at the property however it was over 10 years old, so perhaps could do with some updating.
The house was as described with a double, a twin and a single room, which all had lovely clean sheets and very comfy beds. There were ceiling windows and though some had been covered (with brown paper) not all so we did find that the double room got very light in the morning. There is a large living area which was larger than expected.
The owners were friendly when we had to pop round for information on bins (recycling etc) and they did kindly let my children borrow bodyboards which was an added bonus.
However I think for the price we paid, we were expecting a bit more from the property, perhaps of luxury and this definitely was not there. There was no welcome pack upon arriving (not even a pint of milk) which was a shame, the house was not spotlessly clean and we also noticed a number of lights had blown which made some rooms gloomy. There was a problem with the wiring on one of the showers (reported after break) and there was no information on heating (it was not very warm during our break) and other basics. I think this is a shame and compared to other holiday cottages, with similar price tags this didn't quite meet our expectations.
As I've mentioned though the location is great, so if you want somewhere close to the beaches with no frills then this is the house for you.
Great stay at a lovely quiet rural property but within easy reach of both coasts and the very useful st earth park and ride.
Great property ideally located for touring Cornwall
Still so much left to see we will definitely be back.
The location of this cottage is ideal and we enjoyed our stay very much.
Everything you need is in the property and it is very warm and cosy.
Great location, perfect for young kids, beautiful barn
Great barn- really good size with everything you need for young kids and dogs. Naomi was lovely and communication was spot on. Thanks!
