Lovely cottage, in a beautiful, peaceful location. It has everything you need for a great stay. Everything has been thought off, from the milk and welcome gifts when you arrive to the bird seed to feed for the bird table outside! Our third visit and I hope we have many more.
Very nice cottage
From end-to-end a very nice experience.
From the booking to departure everything was very well. Excellent communication with the owner, a very well furbished and decorated cottage with all things that make a stay comfortable.
We enjoyed the stay very much. Everything was in working order, very well maintained and taken care off.
Setting is rural (first signs of civilization like shops or pubs) are about 1 km or 3 km away. Having a car is essential!
Around the cottage some activity by the neighbors (a kennel and a nursery) but without any disturbance.
Only remarks (but this is more a personal preference and might be different for others) - the mattress in the bed was too soft for me (at home I have a very hard mattress). Again - this is just my own preference. Also the reception for your mobile phone might be very weak - again this should be a plus factor to most people in order to enjoy their vacation, but I had an emergency at work which required me to use the phone. However Skype (internet) worked very well.
All in all - a beautiful cottage for a very nice vacation.
Good standard of accommodation in a good location
Really enjoyed our stay. Lovely setting. Enjoyed the wildlife - rabbits, birds and at one point a couple of deer in the front garden. Just one personal preference- found the settees a little too low to be comfortable. I know that a lot of people prefer this design.
Thank you for your kind review, it was lovely to welcome you back a second time and I hope you visit again. I would be more than happy to provide booster cushions for the sofa at request.
Ideal place to stay
Good location only a few miles from Lulworth Cove. The cottage is spacious & light & very much feels like a home from home. Zoe's instructions were very useful & everything is laid out so you can find it easily. Can't recommend the cottage highly enough & if I stay in Dorset I'll definitely look to stay here again.
Thank you for your kind words, I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back in the future. Zo x
A real home from home
This is our 2nd visit to Carters Barn. It is a very comfortable, homely place and has everything you need. Lots of attractions within a short drive and a couple of good pubs about a mile walk.
Thank you, it was lovely to host you both again. I hope you return soon.
This is a Lovely Home from Home
We have stayed at the barn twice now and intend to be back as we feel so at home here! The barn is spotlessly clean, very comfortable and has everything you need. It is in a quiet location with pretty surroundings. There are a couple of pubs about a mile away and plenty of attractions within easy driving distance.
Thank you for your kind words, I look forward to welcoming you both back soon!
