Sea View Cottage is a delightful, cosy cottage situated in an enviable position in the seaside resort of Scarborough. It is a ten-minute walk from the cottage to the award winning sandy beaches and promenade or to the hustle and bustle of the town centre. The spectacular sea views from the upstairs bedroom show you just how close you are to the sea front. The property has recently undergone a refurbishment into a modern, well-equipped cottage with tasteful decor and furnishings throughout. It is an ideal base for couples and families looking to explore this beautiful part of the Yorkshire Coast and is a haven for walkers and cyclists with lovely cliff top walks and cycle tracks located close by. The accommodation comprises of a lounge/kitchen/diner with electric fire, TV with HD/Freeview and built in DVD. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, slim line dishwasher, washing machine in outhouse. The bathroom includes a walk-in electric shower and bath with shower mixer tap. Cosy, quirky, great location
Great location for exploring Scarborough town and the Yorkshire coastline. Fantastically central to amenities and in the picturesque old town area. Cottage cosy, well decorated and all the amenities you need for a short break. Only reason for 4 stars not 5 is master bed was a bit small and due to the slightly sloping nature of the old property my husband kept feeling like he was going to fall out of bed! In many ways the upstairs kids/twin would make a nicer master bedroom for couples. I slept fine but if you are a light sleeper and looking for a break away to catch up on some snoozing might not be ideal but if you want a really good location at a very competitive price then a good choice!.
Cute cottage in great location
Lovely little cottage on a quiet street, within easy walking distance of everything we needed. Nice and clean, nicely decorated, perfect for a weekend away with the family :-)
A real fishermans character cottage with all mod cons.
It was a super well equipped cottage in a handy area , the only downside is it is on a hill so you need to be quite fit.Parking was provided with a permit ,however we didn't move the car as parking spaces at a premium. We left a few items by mistake and the owner could not have been any nicer or more helpful getting them back to us. We would recommend it as a quirky original well equipped clean bright and light cottage to people that have no walking difficulties.
lovely well equipted cottage in an ideal location.
Would definitely stay again. A very homely cottage in a perfect location for exploring both South and North Bays of Scarborough with no reason to drive unless heading out of town and parking permits were provided for the duration of our stay. Thank you a very pleasent break for our family x
So pleased that you enjoyed the cottage and Scarborough. Hope to see you again.
Perfect seaside retreat! Close to everything..a real find!
Know Scarborough well and chose this cottage as is located in a fab position for access to both bays. We went to a concert at the open air theatre which is only a 10 min walk away on north bay, and if heading to town/south bay this is only a five minute walk! The cottage is beautifully presented and super clean. Everything that you could need for a cottage stay was there. The cottage is up on the hill near St Mary’s church and the views from the upstairs rooms in the cottage were amazing..all across south bay. Yet while in the cottage the area is lovely and quiet so you feel a million miles from the amusement arcades! Finding a parking space outside wasnt a problem..we had a two day permit for our stay and we got a space just round the corner no probs and didnt touch the car till we left as everything was in walking distance! As i said the cottage was immaculate, with super comfy sofas and beds. My two girls loved being on the top floor in their own little space with a view! Now we have found ‘Seaview Cottage’ we will definitely be back. Its perfect!!
Thank you for your lovely review. I look forward to seeing you again. 😊
A good stay and good location
We enjoyed this stay at this cottage and would recommend it to friends and family . Only one comment is that it would be better to supply bin bags for the rubbish but all in all everything ok .
5 minutes walk to South Bay beach.
There are two beaches within walking distance of Seaview. The North bay is fairly quiet with its rockier geology. Most flock to the south bay where the beach enjoys a large sandy bay with good facilities and child friendly amenities. You can also enjoy an old-fashioned donkey ride on the beach which always proves popular with young families. All this and an award for its water quality means this area is a one of the most visited in Yorkshire.
70 miles from Leeds Bradford International Airport.
1 mile from Scarborough Railway Station.
Car hire or use is not essential.
5 minutes walk to town centre;
15 minute walk to Sea Life Centre and Marine Sanctuary;
2 minute walk to Scarborough Castle;
