A fantastic, charming and welcoming place to stay. Well placed and beautiful countryside
Tracy and Chris were very hospitable, even leaving a welcome pack of essentials in the fridge and other nice touches like the Christmas fairy lights in the tree outside. Hire was clean and well maintained and you can see there was no expense spared in fittings and fixtures. A luxury stay....a home away from home. Thanks so much Tracy and Chris
Stunning setting and immaculate cottage!
Thank you to Tracy and Chris for an absolutely wonderful stay in their immaculate cottage. The location is truly beautiful and the cottage has everything you could ever need. The attention to detail to cater for our specific needs with a high quality travel cot and high chair for our little man was really appreciated! In addition when you arrive you receive a warm welcome, helpful local information and some great provisions including a fresh baguette. The horses and donkey were also an absolute hit with our little boy, thank you again to Chris and Tracy for letting him say hello! Look forward to returning next year!
Spotlessly clean. Lovely garden space. Great hosts.
A lovely gite in the heart of Normandy. Would highly recommend.
A wonderful property in a beautiful location!!
My partner and my 2 children have just returned from a long weekend stay. What can I say! We had the most amazing time, certainly helped by the glorious weather. Chris and Tracy (The owners) were extremely hospitable and the house had everything we could possibly need to make our stay comfortable. I would highly recommend it and will certainly be returning in the future. Thank you!
Thank you for your lovely review. We are so pleased you all enjoyed your stay. The weather was very warm for early May and it was great seeing the garden being used. Look forward to your return in the future. Chris and Tracy
First impressions of this property were lasting and very impressive. It looked lovely from the outside and inside did not disappoint. It was bright and airy, every facility was available and the decor was very in keeping. The intimate touches included were much appreciated and the overall position in a beautiful rural setting forced us to relax!
Chris and Tracy were great hosts, very welcoming and friendly. We would not hesitate to recommend this property and intend returning next year
Thank you for your great review. The weather was fantastic for your stay. From our conversations you were both interested in the d day beaches and museums associated with the wars. We are pleased you found the gite comfortable and found time to relax in the garden. Look forward to seeing you both next year. Chris, Tracy and Hector the Boxer Dog
I stayed for a few days around the New Year period, with my daughter, her husband and their 2 young boys. We all were very happy to be in this warm, clean and very well arranged house. Although small, it didn't feel that way because of the well designed kitchen/dining area, with lots of light despite the continuously grey sky, and we like having the opening to the lounge so the boys could play there and still be with us. We loved the fireplace, with ample provision of wood. Again the bathroom is very clean and well designed. There was plenty of storage in the bedrooms. So overall we had a lovely stay, and the owners were very welcoming and helpful.
One or two suggestions for improvement would be:
In the children's bedroom, the bed I was sleeping on was very creaky, and the mattress wasn't very comfortable.
In the bathroom the extractor fan was not working (or maybe is there a switch we were not aware of?)
In the kitchen, it would be nice to have one larger saucepan that fits the big burner on the electric cooker, and a frying pan that is not scratched.
This said, I would not hesitate to highly recommend this gite to anyone.
