Lovely little house, very comfortable, cozy, & self sufficient, however, there were a few minor things requiring repair, but they didn't disrupt our holiday.
We liked the 2 separate living areas & our daughter liked the quiet area upstairs. The house is approx 10 minutes walk to the town centre, which has plenty of nice shops, pubs & restaurants, but we recommend booking as we were turned away a couple of times on saturday as it was so busy. We averaged 1 hour(ish) drive to the Lakes (Windermere, Coniston & Ullswater) & the house provided a good central point for visiting these and walking. The Hoad monument in Ulverston is worth a walk along with canal foot which has a nice pub at the end. Would recommend to others.
Cosy home with everything we needed for a short stay.
We enjoyed our stay in this cosy terraced house. A couple of things happened while we were there. The net curtain rod fell down while we were out one day. There wasn't any way we could fix it, because it was too high to reach without a step-ladder. And, when cleaning the bath on the last day, the shower curtain rail fell down. Again, we couldn't fix it back up due to not having any tools with us.
The property was ideal for us visiting Ulverston for a festival. In easy walking distance to the town. We hope to visit again sometime.
Basic and conveniently situated ,near shops and restaurants in Ulverston. very nice owner.
Enjoyed staying in the house. However door handle into the bathroom, towel rail in the bathroom and one television not working.
Thank you, it was a pleasure having you stay, I followed you in to clean and may I point out that the television does work, the satellite box has to be turned first as it states on top of the box, otherwise you have to select source and HDM1 via the tv remote, glad you enjoyed and I have tightened the screw up on the bathroom door handle.
Great location and value!
Cosy property within walking distance to town. Felt really comfortable there and had a lovely relaxing stay
Neat and tidy. Clean facilities.
Great little property to get to the lakes. House had good facilities. Nice open fire and log burner that owner kindly left wood and fuel for. Large bathroom with plenty of towels and modern shower. Town is nice with some great pubs. Recommend the rose and crown and farmers inn. Would stay again. Cheers
