VILLA LIDIA ... ON HOLIDAY ON THE BEACH OF SABAUDIA!
EXCLUSIVE APARTMENTS IN VILLA ON THE SEAFRONT OF SABAUDIA
The house is part of one of the historic villas built in the 60s on the dunes and the Sabaudia beach, between Torre Paola and the Hotel Le Dune. The villa is accessed through an automatic gate and a private drive surrounded by the Mediterranean vegetation.
The apartment, recently renovated, overlooks the beach, the dunes and the sea with a view of Mount Circeo. It has a large adjacent dedicated parking (for three cars, two large and one small), an independent entrance closed by a gate and is disposed on two levels. The whole apartment is protected by grilles and security doors. It is accessed by a staircase of exclusive relevance that leads to the terrace on the dune of the apartment, overlooking the sea. The terrace is furnished with sofas, armchairs, sun loungers and parasols. Connected to the terrace, further down, a delightfully shaded shed, is organized for outdoor lunches and dinners on the sea.
Also outside the apartment there is a covered patio that shelters from the sea breeze, the sundial heat and the humidity of the night, furnished with a sofa, a large wooden dining table with chairs and a barbecue. On the ground floor, overlooking the terracing and the sea, there is a living room, a dining room and a bedroom with en suite bathroom. Also on the ground floor is the fully equipped kitchen and a service room with a service bathroom. On the first floor, very private, there are three double bedrooms with three bathrooms en suite. The master bedroom, with a romantic four-poster bed with curtains of veil, a dormeuse and an early 900 toilet, has a private terrace overlooking the sea and Mount Circeo. The main bedrooms are air-conditioned.
The private descent to the sea of the villa, in the middle of the dunes, leads in a few meters to the outside, on the beach. Inside the gate there is a fresh water shower and a fountain to cool off after the sea and sun baths. The apartment has sunbeds and umbrellas provided.
Every year regular disinfestations are carried out by hematophagous insects, so there are few mosquitoes in the dune.

WHO MEETS THE SUNGUDIER SEAFOOD CAN NOT LET THEM LOST!
Set along a large white beach that ends at the foot of Mount Circeo, lapped by a blue sea with transparent and calm waters, refreshed by a constant scented sea breeze, the Lungomare di Sabaudia steals the heart with its amazing beauty.
The golden color of the beach, which rises gently to form soft dunes, contrasts with the dark green of the Mediterranean scrub forest. With the sun warming the sand, the bush releases scented hints of myrtle, heather and myrtle. Everything is preserved in Sabaudia! The natural park protects the return of migratory birds that fly over the dune, towards the brackish lakes that line the seafront. Golden greenhouse fish meet in herds in the shallow water near the water's edge. The heather and juniper grow wild in the wetlands.
In the long walks on the beach to Mount Circeo, silhouetted in the distance, it is exciting to arrive at the foot of Torre Paola, the ancient Saracen tower. In times when the beach returns empty, early in the morning or at the end of the day, the few who can stay to enjoy the spectacle of the sunset know they are privileged. The mist that falls at dusk, slowly darkens the horizon of Ponza and Palmarola, sirens that emerge in the waves and invite to take off.
On this burst of Lungomare Pontino, first, at the beginning of the 50s of the last century, Count Volpi di Misurata built a villa identical to that owned in Venice, overlooking the Grand Canal. The memories of the epic festivities given on the beach still remain in the memory of that time, with illustrious guests coming from the sea, given the inadequacy of the road that led to Sabaudia, and that they were welcomed on the beach tables set with pottery and precious crockery, served as impeccable white waiters! And here, coeval and all nearby, the villas of the Counts of Campello, of the Principi Pacelli, of the Marquises of San Severino, of the Ghella, of Moravia, of Anita Ekberg and many others arose in the same period. The young people of that time could truly say that they had tasted the Dolce Vita, which from Rome, through the Via Pontina, transhumed to Sabaudia in strictly exclusive meetings.
Villa Lidia was built in the early 60s by the grandfather and father of the current owners. Recognizable and iconic for its semicircular shape with large white colonnades, it was built with the most modern technologies of the time and is still fresh and ventilated in summer, never damp in winter. The architects built it by the sea, challenging, along with a few other visionary madmen, the dictates of the era, who wanted these prestigious mansions built inland, away from the sea winds and winter storms.
Villa Lidia is surrounded by a hectare of dense and wild Mediterranean vegetation that alternates with wide sandy areas, where it is not rare, in less frequented periods, to see wild rabbits dancing under the full moon. Here the sea is the master resounding in the windows, both in the periods of calm with the rhythmic lapping of the waves, and during storms, roaring violently under the lash of the mistral or the libeccio.
A fence encloses and protects all property. The main gate on the beach opens onto the golden sand that degrades into the crystal clear water
IL MONTE CIRCEO AND THE DUNES OF SABAUDIA
Set between the tourist resorts of San Felice Circeo and Sabaudia, one hour's drive from Rome, lying between the waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea and Lake Paola, there is the Circeo Promontory, whose profile resembles a sleeping female face "... and they heard Circe in a beautiful voice singing a large, immortal canvas, as are the works that make the goddesses ..." (from the X Book of Homer's Odyssey).
At the foot of the Circeo Promontory, over 520 meters high, the visual spectacle of the Duna del Litorale di Sabaudia: a natural jewel of a coastal dune, unique in Italy, which extends for twenty-five kilometers of white beach, surrounded by fragrant Mediterranean vegetation, bathed by crystalline green marine waters, and by four coastal lakes, naturalistic and faunistic destinations.
Opposite, the splendid Pontine Islands can be reached in about an hour by ferry: Zannone, Palmarola, Ponza and Ventotene. The latter inhabited by fishermen in typical villages and endowed with poignant landscapes with jagged cliffs.
The coast and the islands are included within the National Park of Circeo, Italian areas protected for the high naturalistic value of marine biodiversity. The great woodland of the Circeo National Park, freely accessible, is crossed by numerous bike paths and pedestrian paths that wind up for tens of kilometers, from coastal lakes and beaches to the summit of the Circus Promontory. Canoe excursions are also planned along the lakes.
