Why sean sainsbury chose Mahón
When I first came to the Island in 2007 it was love at first sight. I fell in love with the tranquility, the spotless beaches, both hidden and public. The chance to walk on trails and see very few people whilst enjoying the sea views and country alike. Knowing I could be very happy here I didn't hesitate to buy this villa when I saw what it had to offer. Close to the charming village of Es Grau with its friendly bars and restaurants or a little further to Mahon with its plethora of shops and restaurants, Harbour and old cobbled streets.
What makes this Villa unique
The peacefulness of the area is unbelievable sometimes. You can just sit and gaze for hours at the birds flying overhead with the sound of crickets the accompanying sound. There is no thru traffic with only a few neighbours passing infrequently, You don't have to worry about being overlooked as you sit in your swimwear!

Great quiet
Lovely big villa in a lovely quiet location. Very clean. Would definitely go there again.
Great location and lovely villa
The villa is lovely and big with a great pool and lots of space inside and out; being in the national park/nature reserve so close to the trails was excellent and Es Grau is nearby for a beach, more walking, kayaking and somewhere to eat and pick up odds and ends. The villa needs better maintenance though as the outside looks very scruffy; no umbrellas for shade by the pool (despite photos), just old broken ones lying around; inside wasn't brilliantly clean either which was a shame as it's a lovely place to stay.

Apologies about the outside being scruffy. I have just come back from spending a week there and I agree leaving things like the broken umbrella laying on the floor is not good. The other umbrella laying next to it I believe does work and was put on the ground to stop it blowing away. I have spoken to the cleaning company about making sure the place is clean and the outside is maintained properly. I've told them to tell me when things are broken so I can get them replaced and for any broken items to be thrown away. I have asked the company I use to take pictures and to send them to me before anyone arrives in future to make sure things like this don't happen again. I hope it did not spoil your holiday in anyway.

Beautiful location
Well equipped villa in a stunning location. Love Menorca and would highly recommend staying here.
Spacious villa in nature reserve, close to Mahon.
The villa is in a beautiful setting, in the Albufera nature reserve which is brilliant for bird watching and a walk in the countryside. Very quiet, silent even, except when jets go over as unfortunately it’s on the flight path from Mahon airport. However, planes are not particularly frequent.
The pool is a decent size and depth and not overlooked at all, so ideal for those that like to consider swimming costumes optional!
Some of the outdoors furnishings and decor were looking a bit ‘tired’, but we went in September at the end of what was probably a busy season. We loved sitting on the terrace, watching the birds and enjoying the dark night sky which was great for stargazing.
Inside the kitchen is well equipped and the owners kindly left a few of the previous visitors surplus supplies, so we didn’t need to buy washing up liquid, coffee or cooking oil for example.
Communication with owner/managers was excellent and would definitely recommend if you want a peaceful location less than ten minutes drive from the unspoilt beach at Es Grau.
Beautiful villa in a quiet and picturesque area
We really enjoyed our stay. The villa is very spacious and the sitting area and bedrooms are nicely decorated. We enjoyed playing in the pool every day and were treated to a visit from a tortoise in the garden. Es Grau is a wonderful area to stay, the beach, the village and natural park are all a highlight to any holiday in Menorca.

Very close to Es Grau the local quintessentially Spanish village. There are a few bars and restaurants overlooking the horseshoe shaped beach.
Travel:
Mahon airport is approx 15 mins drive from the villa.
The nearest ferry port is 10 mins drive.
Car hire is essential due to the villa being on a Natural Park.

There is a small store in Es Grau. The mains banks are in Mahon and on the Mahon retail estate there are several supermarkets.
Leisure activities on the island include walking, cycling, wind surfing, kayaking, sailing, diving, snorkeling, horse-riding, fishing and golf.
