Simply beautiful, highly recommended!
Just back from a fantastic week on Raasay, the house was perfect, as described, very comfortable and in a great location to explore the island. Our Collie loved the beautiful walks 5 minute’s from the front door. I would suggest walking and cycling is the best way to see the island in all its glory, Calum’s road is an incredible feat of engineering by one man, it was a leg burner on the bike! I have travelled all over the world with work and I can honestly say Raasay is right up there for wildlife and scenery. Great house and location, thank you, Scott, Kirsty and Cally...
Thank you Scott, Kirsty and Cally. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for the lovely review. Lila
Great property in nice location with stunning views.
Raasay is an island with stunning scenery and walks. The house itself has everything to offer for a perfect holiday home.
Thank you Kristian and family. We are glad you enjoyed your holiday.
Family friendly with beautiful surroundings
It has been one of our best relaxing holiday so far. The cottage is very clean, cosy and warm, it just feels like home after your first step in. Every morning we had our coffee in the living room watching the ocean and Isle of Sky, peace and quiet. Kids were very happy as well, plenty of rabbits and you are surrounded by nature. A really quiet place if you are looking for a city escape. All of us enjoyed it so much and the host was really kind. Raasay is a small place but makes you feel great.
Been very lucky with the weather as well so we could walk and explore the surroundings. You must visit the new distillery, great Raasay whisky and the Raasay house for lunch , tea.
We will definitely go back for longer next time.
Thanks Lila for being such a great host, much appreciated.
Thank you for writing a lovely review. I am glad you enjoyed your holiday here and we would love to welcome you back anytime.
Peace on an island
Raasay is not the obvious choice for a holiday as Skye is its more populous and well known neighbour - you need to get on a ferry to get to Raasay. But that is the whole point. Once there you are in a calm tranquil virtually car-free environment, surrounded by sea, mountains, and wildlife. There is a different atmosphere on an island, cut adrift from the stresses of modern life. The house is absolutely lovely. Very comfortable, and with meditative views across the bay. Sited in the village it is near the shop, a short walk to the community centre, a slightly longer one to Raasay House which is great for lunch, snacks, dinner, and the bar. Walks and cycling from the house are easy and wonderful. We had great evenings watching the sun go down from the cosy living room, with the log burner warming us nicely. The house has loads of parking space, garage for bikes, every amenity you could need. The contact with the owners was extremely helpful and they were very quick to respond to any queries. We cannot wait to come back as this was a special time in a special place.
What a lovely review. We are glad you enjoyed your time on Raasay and would love to welcome you back sometime.
Really lovely cottage. Well equipped fantastic views.
I can not fault the cottage. The island of Rassay is so restful so if looking for a very relaxing place. Will definitely be going back.
