Bayclose is a 2nd Floor Penthouse Apartment with stunning sea and coastal views over Freshwater Bay situated in a peaceful rural location 5 minutes easy walk from the promenade and beach yet close to local shops and villages. Bayclose is set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (ANOB) and is also in a Conservation Area as is most of Freshwater Bay. The Isle of Wight has 17 award winning beaches. Several of these are within a short distance from the flat for instance Freshwater Bay, Colwell Bay (which has a Blue Flag Award and with it's fine firm yellow sand and gently shelving beach it is ideal for young children and families.) Compton, Brook and Totland. The picturesque harbour village of Yarmouth is 3 miles away by car or is a pleasant walk partially along the Yar Estuary. There are many country and downland walks from the doorstep. One of these walks is the Tennyson trail part of which you can pick up from a footpath near the apartment. This walk takes you via the Tennyson monument to the Needles and the Needles Old Battery owned by the National Trust. The county town of Newport is 12 miles away with its excellent variety of shops and supermarkets. However for every day needs there is a traditional, well stocked village shop just 5 minutes walk away. The apartment has a balcony from which there are also fantastic sea views. It has a table and 4 chairs directly accessed by French doors from the sitting room.

Ipod docking station/speakers. Dining table and 4 chairs. Antique georgian sideboard. French doors onto a balcony from which there are also wonderful sea views. There is a table and 4 chairs on the balcony giving plenty of space for dining outside!
There are two good sized comfortable double bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. All beds are made up with cream Egyptian Cotton Bedlinen. The front bedroom (double bed) has sea views down to Freshwater Bay and the beach. Please note there is no wardrobe in the double bedroom but a very large double size wardrobe in the twin bedded room.
The bathroom is in between the 2 bedrooms. There is a bath with mixer taps and shower over. Basin and WC. Heated towel rail.
Utility cupboard with hoover, iron and ironing board.
A hairdryer is provided.
Terry Disposable Slippers are provided.
Free Unlimited WiFi.
Some DVD's and board games provided. Buckets, spades, beach mats, beach balls etc provided.
Binoculars are also provided for guests use but please do not take these off the premises!
A welcome tea tray is made up for your arrival - tea, milk and biscuits.
Towels - 1 large bath towel per person plus a hand towel in the bathroom.
Tea towels and dishcloths are also provided. Beach Towels however are NOT provided so please bring your own.
Full Gas central heating - this is a very efficient system!. Radiators are thermostatically individually controlled and the flat can be as warm as you wish! Also the flat is very well insulated.
The flats have their own off road very private car which cannot be seen from the main road and each of the 10 flats has its own dedicated parking space marked with the flat no. Please note vans of any sort are not allowed due to terms of the lease.
Children must be age 5 or over.
No smoking at all either inside the flat OR on the balcony.
We do not accept wedding parties.
No stag or hen party guests.
No same sex groups under the age of 25.
WE DO NOT ALLOW OUTDOOR SHOES OR BOOTS TO BE WORN IN THE APARTMENT. There is plenty of space to leave footwear outside our own front door and there are also coat hooks for outdoor coats etc. WE NOW PROVIDE TERRY DISPOSABLE SLIPPERS FOR YOUR USE.
PLEASE DO NOT USE fake tan or similar products in this flat. If such products are found to have stained the bedding and/or towels a charge will be made. We have had to enforce this rule due to one too many sets of bedding and towels being ruined with these products.
Change over day - We aim to be as flexible as possible subject to availability so do please ask if your preferred start day is available and we will do our best to accommodate your requirements. .Arrival time is anytime from 3.30 p.m. onwards. Departure time is by 10.00 a.m.
