The villa is located toward the edge of El Capistrano village with its beautiful landscaped gardens and Andalucian architecture. It is very spacious with 2 bedrooms one double bed and one with twin beds and terraces and balconies overlooking the mountains and sea. There is a further double bedroom with en suite below the terrace entered from the garden. There is also a small double sofabed in the living area. There is a private garden and the sun is on the terrace most of the day with sunbeds for your use. The village is pedestrianised so very safe for children. There are 3 communal pools and 2 childrens pools. On site there is the famous Cave bar with free wifi, and restaurants for fine dining and more casual meals. The pools have snack bars. There is a supermarket, doctors, laundrette etc. and a very friendly reception where the staff will show you to the villa and help you with any queries. Nerja town has many restaurants, bars and clubs. Fabulous shops and the famous Balcone de Europe overlooking the sea. It is 1.5km away which can be walked or a taxi is only 7 euros. Buriana beach with it's water sports and restaurants is a similar distance . There is free wifi in the villa and air conditioning which can be used for heating in the winter.

My parents have owned the villa since the 1980s when El Capitstrano village had just been built. Unfortunately my father died a few years ago so my brothers and I have done it up and are renting it out to cover the annual costs so that my Mother can keep it and we can all enjoy lovely family holidays there. Everybody who stays there enjoys if from my 20 year old niece who takes friends and goes clubbing to friends with small children and just couples on their own.

Friends lived in Nerja and we went to visit them and fell in love with the town. El Capistrano Village had just been build so my parents bought a villa there.
What makes this Villa unique
The property is only 40 minutes from Malaga airport, just outside Nerja which is a really beautiful, unspoiled Spanish town. It is 5 minute drive to the beach and there is a bus from the villa, there also other secluded beaches within easy reach. The villa is detached and very spacious unlike some in Capistrano and as it is at the edge of the village it has unobstructed views of the of the mountains and the sea. It also has a private walled garden mostly shaded which is ideal for small children and parking right outside the garden which is also something other villas don't have. The landscaped gardens and walk ways in Capistrano make the short walk to the pools or shops an absolute pleasure. There are also many lovely villages to explore up in the hills behind Nerja.

A great villa in a lovely complex!
The property was spacious and perfect for a family holiday! The large terraces had mountain and sea views and were sunny all day plus there was a shady area on the large terrace great for having lunch in the shade on hot days. There was a small enclosed garden perfect for small children. The large living and dining area was perfect for 6 of us - plenty of space for us to do things together or separately. The property was well equipped with everything you could need and the traditional Spanish style was charming. We loved El Capistrano. Beatiful cobbled streets, the famous cave bar, a good value restaurant with a huge menu and friendly Spanish staff, and lovely pool area. Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful location, great facilities and house was exactly as described and as pictures showed.
The owner was so helpful and gave valuable information. The service we received was very professional. Swimming pools suited all ages and the landscaping and houses in the village were stunning. It was close to Nerja and the owner recommended great spots to eat.
Lovely holiday villa
Everything was as described and the terraces were full of sun, with lovely views of sea and mountains. El Capistrano Village is exceptionally-well maintained and bursting with colourful flowers even in March, and twenty minutes' brisk walk got us to the Balcón de Europa, or twenty minutes' leisurely down to Burriana beach.

We had a lovely stay at this house, we found the location charming , the shops and the beach all nearby and the atmosphere of the village style urbanisation really made for a pleasant holiday break.The communal pool areas were well maintained ,and perhaps because of the time of year quiet and restful to lounge about doing nothing just what a holiday should be .
The nearest beach is the largest which is Burriana beach, it has a blue flag and many restaurants, internet cafes, watersports facilities etc. It is approx. 1.5 kms away which is a short 5 minute drive or longer 15 minute walk. There is also a bus from the villa which goes there. There is another smaller but very picturesque beach reach from the centre of Nerja about a 20 minute walk or short car journey. There are many other secluded beaches in the area which can be reached by car.
The nearest airport is Malaga 55km away and 50km by train. A car is recommended but it is quite possible to get a bus or taxi from the airport and use taxi's or walk to the town or beach when you are there. The taxi fares are controlled and very cheap
Nearest town Nerja is between 1 and 1.5 km from the villa. The caves of Nerja about 20 minutes by car and Granada about 2 hours.
Protected by the Sierra de Almijara mountains Nerja and the surrounding coast has its own micro-climate which includes approximately 320 days of sunshine per year. It has a temperate, sub-tropical climate which means that in winter the daytime temperatures rarely fall below 18ºC and in summer it never gets the sweltering temperatures of inland Spain.
There is little rainfall but what there is tends to fall during the winter months of November, December and January. The good news is that even when it does rain you can be sure that the sun will soon show its happy face.
The weather allows you to really enjoy the outdoor life both in summer and winter and is one of the few places in the world where on the same day you can enjoy world class skiing in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, a round of golf and a swim in the wonderful Mediterranean Sea.
The Sierra de Almijara rises to over 1800 metres to the north of Nerja, and it acts as a formidable barrier against the cooler northerly winds that occasionally affect much of the rest of Spain during the winter months. It seldom rains during the summer months and the afternoon sea breeze keeps everything pleasantly refreshing. In fact, a survey suggests, that this part of the Costa del Sol experiences the best all-year-round weather in Europe.
The Nerja Caves are located close by. Few visitors knew anything about this part of the coast until 1959, when five young boys, out hunting for bats behind Maro discovered a remarkable system of caves and ancient cave paintings. Now the caves attract visitors every day who come to wonder at this underground cathedral with its strange, melting-wax rocky architecture and what is reputed to be the largest natural column in the world.

You collect your key from the reception area and will be shown to the property by friendly staff who can answer any questions you have.
