Hysbysfa is a delightful stone-built detached cottage set in an idyllic and secluded location of approximately ½ an acre within walking distance of Bala High Street and leisure centre and of course the beautiful Bala lake. It provides accommodation for up to 6 guests . The converted cow shed or annexe situated in the garden provides accommodation for 2 further guests. Oil fired central heating in the main cottage with a wood burning stove, loads of exposed beams and character and a very well equipped kitchen make this a perfect base for families, walkers, cyclists and water sports enthusiasts as well as for those wanting to enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounding countryside. About Jane Jones
We are a family from Birmingham. We bought Hysbysfa in 2008 as we loved the surrounding countryside and wanted a breath of fresh air every few weeks. Our 2 young daughters have loved staying there as they have far more freedom to have adventures than they do in the big City! We hope you enjoy it as much as they do.
Jane Jones purchased this Cottage in 2008
Exactly as advertised
Wonderful setting. What we wanted. Ideally situated for the activities planned will definitely recommend and return
Had the most fantastic week
Jane’s cottage is beautiful. There is everything you need for a family holiday. The cottage is secluded, but, within walking distance of Bala Lake. Lots of walks from the cottage. Betwys Y Coed, Swallow Falls, Llandudno and Barmouth worth a visit. Lots of places we didn’t visit, but, we are hoping to return next year
Beautiful cottage in a wonderfully secluded location, fully equiped with all that you could need.
Prior to arrival the local information and pointers I received from the owner and the subsequent correspondence were above and beyond what I could have hoped for,so helpful and insightful. The booking process was a piece of cake, the property itself if anything sold itself short in its description and imagery, was a perfect (not so) little bolt hole to explore the snowdonia national park. Made for an ideal base camp for a weeks cycling adventure and I'm looking at the calender to plan in returning with the family for a long weekend break as the cottage has all amenities you could ask for aswell as being perfectly private and scenic in its location.20 out of 10!!
Walking the Hills
We were a group of four guys having our annual break away from home! The cottage was everything we hoped for. We couldn't fault any aspect of our stay even the weather was glorious. I would recommend this cottage to anybody who wants peace and quiet in an idyllic setting.
A more perfect holiday spot I think would be difficult to find!! A gem of a cottage, enjoyed every second there, waking up to the sheep bleating, the view over the fields , perfect!!
Lovely place, great location
The cottage is in a great location, walking distance from town but feels really secluded. Everything we needed was there and the outside space was great.
