Valle de la Luna is a 1 ha. finca of superior quality that has been recently restored. The property is rented as a whole with its two houses with AC and exterior areas. It has 5 double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms that sleeps 10 people. Its main features are the split level stone terraces where the fruit trees are combined with flowers and trees in a big garden. There is a salt water pool (heated, off summer season) a big BBQ area for 14 people as well as garden facilities. Kitchen and dinning room for 10. WiFi in all the property.

About Pilar Molestina

We are a couple who have traveled a lot and after getting to know this delightful corner of the Tramuntana in Mallorca fell in love with this cozy corner in the Orange Valley in Soller. To be able to share it with our guests so they can perceive the charm of this place is a pleasure.

Why Pilar Molestina chose World

During a boat trip through the Mediterranean we claim to take shelter from a storm in Soller port. The couple of days we spent sightseeing while waiting to resume the trip was enough to fall in love with htis spot. For a while we looked for a place in Soller to settle our vacation home and when teh Valle de la Luna appeared we did not hesitate a moment. Rehabilitation and arrangements were required but it was the beginning of a beautiful adventure.

What makes this chateau / country house unique

The best feature is the privacy and independance that the layout of two houses with common facilities provides. Highly recommended for all ages where all common areas (barbecue, pool, garden ...) let you enjoy outdoor activiteis and have a sense of absolute privacy. It is ideal for hiking during Autumn and Winter and in good weather the proximity to the sea, the beach and the port is a real privilege.

The spacious garden preceded by a beautiful pine tree, fruit trees with delicious fruit at your fingertips or the various corners of the garden are features that give true character to the property.

As good as it looks

Lovely property, extremely spacious, we were 2 families, each had their own space. Gabi was very helpful. short walk from the sea, and to Soller, lots of other great walks nearby, and short drives to everywhere including the airport, Valdemossa etc. Great bus service to Palma. Thanks very much!!

Lovely stay in the peace & quiet, both houses well equipped and comfortable. Swimming pool loved by all of us and the views are amazing. We recommend, just make sure you are prepared for the drive up to the house on the trail. The walk down to the port is only 15-20 minutes.

Paradise nestled in a valley

We were 6 adults and 4 children. We absolutely loved our 2 week stay. The swimming pool was the high point for the children. The accommodation was very good and spacious. We could have had another couple with us quite comfortably. The only slight drawback is access to the property which is by a very rough dirt road/track. Despite this, we had 3 cars and all managed to go out sightseeing or to the beach daily without too much bother.

Paradisisk refugium for familieferie

Vi lejede huset i en uge for at være sammen med vores familie bestående af ti personer fordelt på tre generationer. Det viste sig at være den perfekte ramme for netop den type ophold.

Huset er en slags camp med tre separate bygninger. På den måde kan man fordele sig optimalt i forhold til behov for privatliv mv. Det overdækkede udendørskøkken med en kæmpestor spiseplads udgør det naturlige centrum sammen med den meget store og rene pool. Alle dele af huset er yderst velholdte, velfungerende og veludrustede. Kort fortalt: Huset har alt! Dertil kommer at indretning og møblering er usædvanlig smagfuld og kvalitetsbevidst indvendigt som udvendigt.

Alt er rent og pænt, og poolen blev renset flere gange under vores ophold. Som en yderligere bonus er der en stor have med frugttræer og krydderurter, og fra bjergskråningerne kan man høre en charmerende ringlen af klokker fra fritgående får. Udsigten gennem dalen og de fjerne bjergtoppe er betagende smuk.

Den paradisiske stemning gør at man bærer over med stedets svaghed, nemlig vejadgangen. Man kan kun ankomme til huset i egen bil, og vejen er meget lang, smal og snoet. Den sidste strækning er en temmelig hullet grusvej. Det betyder at al indkøb og affaldshåndtering kræver bil. Hvis man er fit, kan man dog sikkert erstatte bilen med mountainbikes. Der er en vandresti til Port de Soller, ca. 20 minutters gang, men den er meget strabadserende og ikke fremkommelig med småbørn eller høje hæle.

Vi kan varmt anbefale stedet, dog særligt til folk der ikke har det store behov for at tage på udflugt om dagen og spise på restaurant om aftenen. For et selskab som vores, der gerne ville være tæt sammen en uge på et par småbørns præmisser, og som elsker at lave mad selv, var det absolut perfekt.

Valle de la Luna is set on a tiny valley totally secluded and offers peace and quiet with spectacular views of the surrounding Tramuntana mountain range and only a few minutes from Port de Soller. It is 30 km from Palma de Mallorca Airport (30'), 12 km from the picturesque Fornalutx (15') and 15 km from lovely Deiá (20').

Famous for its beautiful hiking trails, it is the ideal location for walks, jogging, cycling and it's only an 15´ minute walk down to the beach and the port following the old pirate's and smugglers' path called Cami Vell del Port. Valle de la Luna's uniqueness lies on the fact that it is not a single house, but an estate 'finca' of 1 hectare with 2 houses 'casitas' (10 persons) with all the facilities, garden and heated pool. The finca is surrounded by a typical Mediterranean forest with beautiful views to the Tramuntana mountains and its landscape. The whole finca has been recently restored with the most comfortable standards.
