What makes this Cottage unique
The surrounding area is beautiful stock-rearing farmland. Which ever way you travel from the cottage there are picturesque and interesting places to visit with something to offer for everyone. The Yorkshire Dales are to the east, with the mountains of Ingleborough, Whernside and Penyghent so well known for the famous 'Three Peaks Fell Race'. To the south is the Forest of Bowland, to the east is Lancaster and the coast with beautiful estuaries extending north and south from there. The Lake District is just north of us. This is an ideal area for walking, mountaineering, both road and mountain biking, fishing, photography. Bird watching is another favourite with several local reserves.

Wonderful location, stunning cottage!
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the cottage and it’s surroundings didn’t fail to disappoint.
The location was perfect for days out to Howgill Fells, Pen-Y-Ghent, Kirkby Lonsdale and all that the Yorkshire Dales has to offer.
Beautiful cottage with a secure bike sheds for ALL our bikes!!
I run and my husband cycles and we found some lovely routes to visit whilst we were staying.
Clive was always on hand to help with anything although the literature in the cottage was very helpful with regards to days out, etc.
My two boys really enjoyed getting back into jigsaws that were in the play room, a really nice alternative to their devices 😃
Accommodation ideally situated and very comfortable. Garden and surrounding country side beautiful, loved the lambs. So many places to visit within 1hrs drive, around the Bay and the Lakes. Weather very warm all week, One of the best UK holidays we have had. Loved every minute!!
Just what the doctor ordered
Beautiful cottage set in amazing landscaped gardens with ponds an added bonus.
Our hosts Doctor Clive Storey and his wife Lucy have gone out of their way to ensure anyone who stays has the best possible holiday. Warm comfortable cottage with everything in it right down to shampoos, hand creams and soaps in the shower room and herbs, spices, sugar tea and coffee, & cleansing items in the kitchen.
A lovely touch was the welcome tray with teapot, cups and a pint of milk in the fridge plus a tin with Lucy’s home made scones, butter and jam on arrival.
The gardens are a joy to behold and mostly achieved by the hard work of the owners. Definitely one of the best cottages we have stayed in and our doggie companions were also made very welcome.
Certainly one to return to.
Amazing Quality Accommodation in a Stunning Location!
Thank you Lucy.
Appreciated your personal welcome x farewell the welcome tea tray x homemade scones an added bonus.
Hopefully you'll allow us back as our family thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and the freedom of the local countryside to amble freely around.
Just perhaps warn guests of your "Phantom Robot Gardner"!
Thank you... Eric Sal Buddy Cassie...

The property is an idyllic peaceful location. The owners were on hand for any questions we had, but everything we needed was provided for. The cottage was clean, warm and had everything required.Local shops and pubs in nearby Bentham were excellent for food and drink, and we managed to walk through the fields new years day to the the nearest pub for a breath of fresh air.
