The Studio Sleeps 4 (studio)
About Chris Goodwin
We have been coming to the Lakes for the last 30 years and now work in the area and believe in putting as much back into the local community as possible by helping promote the local tourism industry to all of our clients and guests across all of our businesses, which helps create a sustainable Keswick.
Chris Goodwin purchased this Apartment in 2010
Why Chris Goodwin chose Keswick
When we first walked into the Gables and the Studio our response was WOW and three years on we still love it, so please come and stay here and see if it Wows you as well. It is 100 yards from central Keswick, but is still very calming. The Gable and the Studio are in central Keswick and sleep up to 18 people (14 in the Gables and upto 4 in the Studio)
What makes this Apartment unique
It is the only property in central Keswick which has a large rear Garden and it even has a slate bed pool table in the dining room! The Houses are big enough to disappear in and still find your own space.
You can book a full week (Friday – Friday), or a half week (Friday – Monday or Monday – Friday).
100% refund if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date. 50% refund if cancelled at least 30 days before arrival date.
The Gables is a beautiful, well maintained house. The kitchen is well equipped with a good selection of pots, pans and crockery. There is plenty of room to relax in the spacious living and dining rooms.
It is set close to the centre of Keswick with all the shops, restaurants and pubs just a very short walk away.
Another fabulous stay
This was our second stay in the studio (having also stayed in the Gables twice before too). Excellent location, comfortable apartment and lovely landlords who go the extra mile (one very small 'issue' was fixed immediately). Remembering that this is a studio apartment it still facilitated me, my husband and our 4 month old baby very well. Kitchen is clean and well stocked but who cares when you have so much on offer in keswick on the doorstep. We would stay here again without a doubt.
Cosy studio in Keswick
Very conveniently placed, well-equipped studio apartment which catered for us and our dogs.
Great location. Perfect for two.
Stayed at the Studio for a weekend and it was absolutely perfect for our needs. It was comfortable, clean and in a great location.
Great glad you enjoyed, book next year and you can have a 5% discount
Great location. Unit was clean. While there was a dryer, there wasn't a washing machine (?). There was not enough hot water for two adults to shower. No towels or coffee maker were provided -- we were told to buy our own.
This is a one bed roomed Studio with limited space so the Dryer takes priority
There is a Cafetiere as a substitute for a Coffee Maker and in the welcome letter it says brings your own Towels...
Although the location and studio were fine, it was advertised as sleeping 4, and there were 3 of us, the accomodation is only suitable for 2.
There is a bed setter with no bedding and there are no towels, ehich is most unusual go a self catering apt. So I had to check out and stay in an hotel.which was costly.but ideal for two
The Studio does sleep 4, and we sent the welcome letter out to the client over two weeks before their stay, detailing that they needed to bring Bedding for the Bed Settee and Towels, unfortunately she did not read the Welcome Letter so arrived at the property unprepared on Monday night when the shops were closed...
I did give the client access to some Towels and Bedding, after making several phone calls to help her... but she chose the option of stopping in a Hotel instead, so we did everything that w could to help her and her family...:)

We have been coming to the Lake District now for 20 years as a family as well with friends and there is not much that we have not done over this time, but every time we revisit we are always amazed at our next adventure.
There are plenty of things to do for all ages, from shopping and sampling the local cafes, restaurants and pubs, to enjoying tennis, bowls and putting in Fitz Park close by. The park also has swings, slides etc for younger children and plenty of green space for football, cricket and such like.
Keswick Leisure Pool is next to the park where one can swim, use the fitness suite or join in an exercise class.
There are a few small museums and art galleries in Keswick also.
Bikes can be hired if you don’t fancy bringing your own bikes, or don’t have one. Keswick Mountain Bike Centre in Keswick – Cycle Wise in Whinlatter Forest Park.
Keswick also boasts a great theatre by the Lake where performances are held throughout the year – and of course canoes and boats can be hired on the lake.
In and around the area, you can also play golf, go horse riding and there are several activity centres for archery, clay pigeon shooting etc and Go Ape, in Whinlatter Forest Park. Take your pick, but this is not an exhaustive list.
