The flat is entered through the shared front door which leads into a small hall and the door to your right goes into the cosy lounge/dining area (12 feet.6 by 20 feet ), the lounge has a double sofa/ bed, easy chairs, 40' colour TV/free view, electric fire.The bedroom which leads off from the lounge has a double bed, wardrobe, etc, (all bedding is supplied). The kitchen and bathroom also lead off the lounge. The kitchen has a gas cooker, microwave and fridge, electric kettle etc. The bathroom has a WC, washbasin, bath and fitted shower that works off the bath taps (towels are provided) .The flat has central heating, all electric and gas is included. Free WiFi connection available. Also we supply Coffee, tea and milk for your arrival. We regret we cannot insure your personal belongings. Please buy your Parking Permits on line from Torbay Council @ £35.00 per week (for 30 car Parks in the area., Freshwater or Quarry Car park).

We are not far from Plymouth and Exeter which are both of historical interest, they can both be reached by car, bus or train.

Should you wish to book for 2018 we will only charge 2016 prices , which may be differ, depending on the time of the year.

David & I have been married since 1980. We are both retired now.

David was an Officer in the Merchant Service and I was a receptionist at a busy Peugeot garage in Torquay. (The last of the jobs I had in my career)

Its a grade 2 listed building circa 1725 and has character and is close to all the local amenities and is an interesting busy area of Town. Which is opposite Mitch Tonk's Seafood Restaurant Rockfish.

We have a small yard at the rear of the flat that can been used for drying clothes. You can also sit out there if you wish.

clean and tidy plenty of charm and character

excellent value for money, great location made welcome , would highly recommend, the only down side is parking, but that is not a big issue, just a nice gentle stroll past the best fishing port in the uk

We have been letting this apartment for 30 years plus and have never had a problem . I would point out that sadly very few of the holiday lets around the harbour have parking .

You cannot beat this for value for money!

You cannot beat this for value for money for the location. We have just returned from a week's stay at the Wheelhouse, which was wonderful. It had everything we needed and was exactly as described. Being so close to the harbour was a special treat....walking down with a coffee, to watch the fishermen in the mornings or 30 second stroll for one of many crabbing trips with the kids. Would strongly recommend it for a family with small kids. The sofa bed was used by all of us and was very comfy. Lovely shower and kitchen had everything we needed.

Note about parking - Hob Nobs no longer sell parking permits. The harbour master in Brixham is not open on the weekend. Either order it online before your trip (as they post it to you) or do what we did, which was take a lovely trip on the ferry, £3 return (Weferry was great!) to Torquay and pop into the Harbour master there, which is open on the weekend. £35 may sound a lot but you will definitely save money over the week. Querry Car Park is the closest to the cottage, a 5 minute walk away but the walk is stunning and you can pick up your fresh fish from the fishmonger on the way!

Our excellent holiday at the Wheelhouse.

The listing description was accurate, everything was completely as it was described. The flat was clean through out, and well maintained. We were greeted by Jacqui on arrival, and we were made to feel at home. I would and will recommend this holiday flat to everyone.

I come from this part of the country and it is always a pleasure to visit Brixham and the surrounding area. The locals are friendly and helpful, and Brixham is a wonderful place to visit, with its great coastline for swimming and fishing, and also for the excellent countryside.

We had a excellent week here thanks to Jacqui & David, hopefully next time we will stay for two weeks.

home from home comfort.

we have had our holidays in this flat for some years.to us its like coming home .we love brixham and we love staying at jacquie and davids,its a lovely flat in a harbour view position,everything is in walking distance,restarants cafes shops and pubs,so plenty to choose from.the flat has everything you would need for a great holiday,and is very comfortable.Jacquie and david are a lovely couple who are always their to help if needed,are down to earth and very friendly,thanks for a great holiday ,see you again next year.shirley and mick.

a brilliant holiday again

we have had our holidays for the last 5 years in this lovely flat. it has everything you need for a brilliant holiday,its home from home and we love it.everything is nearby ,pubs, restarants,and plenty of shops all within walking distance,also the lovely view of the bay.the owners are Jacqui and david who live above,they are a lovely friendly and helpful couple,who are always their to help if needed. we highly recommend this flat so much, we have already booked for our 3 weeks again for next year. thanks Jacqui and david for a brilliant holiday. The flat is situated over looking the Brixham Fish market and harbour close to all the local amenities such as restaurants and shops.It is very light and airy There are car parks, beaches (5-10 Minutes)and the Napolonic Fort at Berry Head in walking distance (20 - 30 min). Paignton (5 miles approx) has the South Devon Steam Railway and 75 acre Zoo, and large cinema complex. Torquay (11 miles approx) has living coast, Kents Cavern (caves) and live theatre all of which can be reached by, bus or a short ferry trip. Other places of interest nearby include Agatha Christie's home - Greenway, The model village at Babbacombe . You are not far from Dartmoor National Park and Plymouth & Exeter cities.Although we do not have parking, you can buy a weekly ticket which will take you into all 39 of the Council owned Car Parks in the Torbay Area.The nearest of which is only seconds away.There are 2 swimming pools in the Town, one indoor ,one outdoor .( We only let Saturday to Saturday ).
