The flat is entered through the shared front door which leads into a small hall and the door to your right goes into the cosy lounge/dining area (12 feet.6 by 20 feet ), the lounge has a double sofa/ bed, easy chairs, 40' colour TV/free view, electric fire.The bedroom which leads off from the lounge has a double bed, wardrobe, etc, (all bedding is supplied). The kitchen and bathroom also lead off the lounge. The kitchen has a gas cooker, microwave and fridge, electric kettle etc. The bathroom has a WC, washbasin, bath and fitted shower that works off the bath taps (towels are provided) .The flat has central heating, all electric and gas is included. Free WiFi connection available. Also we supply Coffee, tea and milk for your arrival. We regret we cannot insure your personal belongings. Please buy your Parking Permits on line from Torbay Council @ £35.00 per week (for 30 car Parks in the area., Freshwater or Quarry Car park). This cottage has been many things in its time, A home to a sea Captain, several Belgians during the last war who migrated to get away and a cafe before it became a home.

We are not far from Plymouth and Exeter which are both of historical interest, they can both be reached by car, bus or train.

Should you wish to book for 2018 we will only charge 2017 prices , which may be differ, depending on the time of the year.

David & I have been married since 1980. We are both retired now.

David was an Officer in the Merchant Service and I was a receptionist at a busy Peugeot garage in Torquay. (The last of the jobs I had in my career)

Its a grade 2 listed building circa 1725 and has character and is close to all the local amenities and is an interesting busy area of Town. Which is opposite Mitch Tonk's Seafood Restaurant Rockfish.

We have a small yard at the rear of the flat that can been used for drying clothes. You can also sit out there if you wish.

another brilliant holiday.

We have holidayed in Jacqui and davids apartment for many years,and they are a lovely friendly and helpful couple. The apartment caters for everything.We have 3 weeks holiday every year, and the apartment is always clean,and has everything we need,home from home we always call it. Its called The Wheelhouse,its situated over looking Brixhams beautiful bay,and is in walking distance of shops pubs and all amenities and of course the lovely beach.we often catch the ferry to Torquay which is lovely.We travel to Brixham by car and can always get parked at the top of the hill,but once you park you wont need it..the apartment is well furnished,and looked after.weve already booked for next year and cant wait.thank you Jacqui and david for a brilliant holiday.shirley and mick mullins.

A roomy flat in a quaint cottage in Brixham.

We had a very enjoyable time on various trips in boats and a lovely visit to Buckfast Abbey. The flat is well appointed and very clean. The flowers and wine were a pleasant surprise. The flat location is very convenient for shops and pubs in Brixham.

brilliant holiday again

This is a lovely flat in a fishermans cottage, home from home we call it as we have holidayed here for a good few years.,The couple who own it are Jacqui and david ,and live above. They are a lovely friendly couple who are always their to help if needed.The flat is in a brilliant position over looking Brixhams beautiful bay.Everything you need is catered for,,as I said home from home, and.just a stroll away are resturants,cafes,shops pubs,and of course the lovely beach.we travel to brixham by car and can always find somewhere to park up on the hill,so not a problem.or you can always get a permit if you prefer.but once you park everything is in walking distance anyway.Thanks Jacqui and david for a brilliant holiday again,and we are looking forward to another one next year.shirley and mick mullins

The flat is situated over looking the Brixham Fish market and harbour close to all the local amenities such as restaurants and shops.It is very light and airy There are car parks, beaches (5-10 Minutes)and the Napolonic Fort at Berry Head in walking distance (20 - 30 min). Paignton (5 miles approx) has the South Devon Steam Railway and 75 acre Zoo, and large cinema complex. Torquay (11 miles approx) has living coast, Kents Cavern (caves) and live theatre all of which can be reached by, bus or a short ferry trip. Other places of interest nearby include Agatha Christie's home - Greenway, The model village at Babbacombe . You are not far from Dartmoor National Park and Plymouth & Exeter cities.Although we do not have parking, you can buy a weekly ticket which will take you into all 39 of the Council owned Car Parks in the Torbay Area.The nearest of which is only seconds away.There are 2 swimming pools in the Town, one indoor ,one outdoor .( We only let Saturday to Saturday ).If you have an ' English' bus pass be sure to bring it with you, we have a great 10 minute service from the Bus Park (5 mins walk) direct to Paignton , Torquay & Newton Abbot and easy access to Plymouth & Exeter from Paignton Bus Station. The Plymouth bus goes through Totnes . And there are regular buses to Kingswear and a short ferry trip across the Dart to Dartmouth. Sadly I do not think the Welsh & Scots passes are accepted.
