Located in the peaceful village of Ullock with over an acre of cultivated garden for you to enjoy, with pond and packhorse bridge. Private drive with ample parking, patio with fell views, close to Cockermouth and the unspoilt quieter side of the Lakes. All on one level, cosy and warm, with garden views from the windows.

The entrance hall leads into a cosy living/dining room with windows on 2 sides a television, dvd player and radio, and the kitchen is fully equipped with all electric appliances. Broadband is also available, and books and guides are there for you to use. Full central heating is included to keep you warm on those cooler days.

The bedroom has 1 double bed, wardrobe and all linen is included. Laundry service is available.

Ample parking within the grounds.

We built this house ourselves, and the apartment has been available for letting for over 10 years, with many people coming back year after year to enjoy walking the fells, or just relaxing and exploring the lakes, coast, and local towns.

What makes this apartment unique

In a small rural village, we are just 5 miles from Cockermouth, and within easy reach of the Northern lakes, Loweswater within 4 miles, Buttermere and Crummock a short drive away. Keswick only 20 miles away. A wealth of wildlife in the extensive gardens, with a variety of birds and even red squirrels feeding just outside the window. A stream with packhorse bridge, pond and woodland path all there for you to enjoy when you arrive. We live on the premises and will be here to welcome you.

Notes on accommodation: Welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. No smoking, sorry no dogs. Outside: Over 1 acre of garden with woodland, pond and stream, with several seats for morning coffee and table and chairs on the patio looking over the fells for your evening glass of wine.. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedding, towels included, changed on request. Cleaned weekly by the owner before each visit. Laundry service provided. Electricity and heating included. Other: Entrance hall with boot rack.

Very relaxing, cosy apartment - very friendly,helpful owners - made very welcome from start.

It was a stormy week but there was a generous welcome package and nothing was too much trouble for the owners. We are very thankful for all their efforts to make us comfortable & we felt just like well loved visiting relatives. The apartment was small and cosy and we felt very much at home. Thanks Marion & John, we really enjoyed our weeks stay. Roy & Anita

Home for 2 weeks

We stayed at Treetops for 2 weeks while our house was being renovated. The apartment was well equipped and clean, Marion was very helpful while we stayed and made us feel at home. Even though there was a shared front door it felt private, the location was lovely and quiet.

Peaceful and comfortable accommodation in lovely grounds.

Peaceful and comfortable accommodation with all the facilities that we needed. Very nice and helpful hosts with a lovely welcome pack. Convenient location for the northern lakes which we enjoyed exploring. We also enjoyed watching the wildlife in the garden including a hedgehog and a wonderful variety of birds on the feeders. The fantastic weather was just a bonus!

Excellent holiday location and accommodation

We had a very fine holiday; the accommodation was comfortable - the bird feeder just outside the apartment was great entertainment at mealtimes!

The garden was a great attraction too, with the beck running alongside and plenty of peaceful places to sit and listen to the birdsong. A fine pub just a mile's walk away in the adjacent village of Dean, and Ullock itself is well located for access to the the National Park.

Marion and John made us very welcome - and even arranged excellent weather for us ....!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your kind review. We always love to show off our wonderful part of the country, especially when the weather is so good. We have luckily had a wonderful Summer here in the Lakes, and long may it continue. Our birds are a constant source of time wasting, and even if you don't see the red squirrel the birds are a good substitute. I have recorded over 20 species in the garden, and of course the nightly visit of the hedgehogs is good to see (and hear). I do hope you will be able to come back sometime - it's always nice to welcome our regular visitors. Many thanks, Marion and John.
