Stream Cottage Sleeps 4 (2 Bedrooms)
About D BROOKES
We have made our home here in North Devon since 1993 when we started converting the range of barns which we now call Flitton Oak Barns. We had been visiting North Devon for summer holidays with our children since the late 1970s and fell in love with the area. The barn conversions (4 properties in all) took just over 10 years to complete. We live on site and are consequently available to guests should problems arise or information is required.
D BROOKES purchased this Barn in 1993
Why D BROOKES chose South Molton
The first time we saw the barns it was pouring with rain, the barns were almost derelict, but we loved the stone work and the view across the valley. The location is rural but within easy reach of all amenities
What makes this Barn unique
Visitors can enjoy the peaceful area surrounded by green fields. Within the Hayloft the rooms are spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Stream Cottage although much smaller is as comfortable and well equipped.
Cancelled bookings will not receive a refund.

BEST STAY EVER HAD
Excellent place 5***** the lovely view is one of the best we have ever had , so peaceful and tranquil the garden was so nice with a large pond , around the House Martins flying all day feeding there young and all other birds it was Paradise-
Beautiful, peaceful location, Stream Cottage is cosy & well equipped.
We arrived quite late after a very long, delayed journey. Dianne was waiting for us with a friendly smile. She got us settled quickly and we loved the scones, strawberry jam and clotted cream (a really lovely touch). We had a very relaxed and happy long weekend exploring the area, I am sure that we will be back in the future.
Perfect, peaceful place to escape to
This was our second stay at stream cottage - we returned because we love it so much. The setting is perfect if you are looking for a tranquil, rural get away. The cottage has everything you need - and although it seems like a budget price, it certainly doesn’t feel like a budget place. The grounds are stunning and although the owners live there, you do not feel in any way that you are an intrusion (we only saw Denise when we arrived). The beds are comfortable, the living room furniture is comfortable and the linens provided are good quality. The cream tea that is left for guests went down very well! We ate breakfast in the garden and could only hear birdsong. The cottage is ideal for couples or a family of 4. It is a great place to explore Exmoor and the North Devon coastline, though Exeter is an easy drive too. Another memorable trip - thank you Denise!
