Set in a tranquil location just up the hill from Anduze, the house is equipped with everything to ensure a fantastic holiday for families whilst also being a perfect retreat for couples. The pool and garden are great places to relax and the al fresco areas make outside dining an easy way to while away the hours. Anduze is a vibrant small town with the river Gardon running through it. Swimming in the river is a beautifully refreshing experience on a hot summer's day. A steam train departs from Anduze several times a day and travels to St. Jean du Gard stopping at the famous Bambouseraie on route. Once at the house, there is little need for a car, however it is well worth venturing out as there's so much that's within an hour's drive. As well as Anduze, Uzes and Sommieres both have fantastic markets. Kayaking under the famous Pont du Gard is a great day out for all ages. There are lots of wine caves in the vicinity and the Mediterranean and it's beaches are easily accessible.

About Darren and Kate Taylor
We are a family of 5. We enjoy a project and renovated the house over a period of 3 years. We thoroughly enjoy every holiday that we take there even though some of them have been far more work than play. The renovation became a family affair with our children doing their bit along with their Grandparents! We love to holiday there as a family but find it works just as well for the two of us. Now that it's finished it seems such a shame that at times it's empty. It's so beautiful and we feel that it needs to be shared. We particularly enjoy the garden and would love, at some point in the future, to be able to see the changes through each season rather than having to return home to work!

With family fairly close to Anduze, it was an area that we visited from time to time and loved. The town has a real holiday feel without losing any of its French charm. We couldn't really believe our luck when we found our property. It is, we believe, in the perfect location. We are able to enjoy the peace and beauty of the countryside with Anduze just a 10 minute walk away. There is plenty to do in and around the town although walking into Anduze to pick up some fresh baguettes and croissants and then lazing by the pool still takes some beating!
What makes this House unique
The property is perfect for us as it easily accommodates 10 people which allows for holidays with extended family and friends but it also feels very homely when just the two of us go there. During these breaks, life slows right down! We stroll into town for a mid-morning coffee or an aperitif and relax in the garden. The salt water pool is fantastic and totally eliminates the chemically feeling and smell. Our days are punctuated by alfresco dining! I thoroughly recommend it!

Very hot two weeks which meant we probably stayed in the pool rather than venture too far away. However we did have some good days out as there is so much to see and do within the surrounding area and the delightful town of Anduze is only a short walk away where there are numerous eating places and bars and all sorts of markets at different times. We would all certainly return to this property. To sit in the garden early in the morning with a cup of tea and watch Golden Oriels and Hoopoes flying about plus a miscellany of other birds and butterflies was a joy to behold.

Excellent villa, well situated and equipped, stunning pool.
We hired the place for some of my family during a larger family celebration nearby, and it was wonderful.
The pool is really stunning, and a standout feature. The saltwater cleaning is lovely, its a great size and with a lovely terrace and pool house area.
The house is beautiful and easy to stay in. The rooms are good sized and it does sleep ten comfortably. It is well equipped, there wasn't anything we were missing. Having a large Gas BBQ was especially useful.
I highly recommend it. Pleasant, helpful and friendly owners, great location, great property.

Our second visit, and even better than last time!
This is a wonderful house with all the facilities you would expect from a top of the range house. The pool is superb and is much bigger than most pools in houses we have stayed in.
The town of Anduze is wonderful with fantastic resturants, shops and markets. Lots to do in the local area, this time we canoed and visited high ropes course.
We would recommend this house without hesitation
Fabulous House in a great town
We had the most fantastic holiday in Anduze.
The House is wonderful. The large well equipped kitchen had everything we could need. The pool was fabulous - the children just loved it.
Everything was so easy - from booking to arriving. The pictures really don't do it justice, it is the most amazing property.
The local town is has a great selection of shops and markets with restaurants catering for every pocket.

The property was just as we expected it from the details on the website - a peaceful garden, lovely pool and comfortable house. The owner and their local contact were very helpful and accommodating. 6 of us stayed in the house (3 generations of one family) and had plenty of space to relax and enjoy ourselves but it could easily have accommodated more. It's a fantastic region - beautiful countryside and villages, lovely rivers for swimming and being only 10 minutes walk from Anduze meant we could walk into town to buy breakfast, shop in the market or go for dinner. We enjoyed it so much that we have already booked for next year.

Très belle maison dans un quartier tranquille , sur les hauteurs de Anduze , petite ville pittoresque et très animée. La belle piscine , bien protégée , fait le bonheur des petits et des grands. Les équipements sont très satisfaisants et les terrasses ombragées très appréciables !! Une adresse idéale que l'on peut "chaudement" recommander !

Anduze is a pretty, small town with a traditional French feel. There are many narrow lanes lined with shops and eateries which all converge on a central square. Many events and exhibitions are organised during the summer months using the park, streets and squares as their setting. A wander down to town for a drink or meal is great for all ages. It's a fairly steep hill back to the house which may not suit everyone. Anduze has all the shops and services that you would expect to find in a town including a supermarket, banks and several boulangeries.
Additional pricing information
Booking Notes: 25% deposit is required at time of booking with the full amount being payable 8 weeks prior to the holiday. A £300 refundable damage deposit is required. The pool will be out of service during the winter months. Long term rents will be considered. Changeover Day: Change over day is a Sunday allowing for guests to visit the Saturday markets. This is negotiable during quieter times. Notes on prices: The rental includes use of bed linen, bath and pool towels, pool and garden maintenance and end of stay clean, but not the cleaning of the BBQ's, which is the guests' responsibility. Upon booking, 20% of the rent is payable as a non-returnable deposit. The balance is payable 8 weeks before the holiday begins. At the same time a holding deposit of £300 is payable. This will be refunded within 7 days of the stay ending subject to no damage being reported.
