About Valerie Baker-Munton
We are now semi retired and divide our time between Italy and the UK, with friends and family visiting us in Italy during the summer months. Casa Uccelli is our summer home and has been furnished with this in mind. We hope that you will enjoy it as much as we do.
Valerie Baker-Munton purchased this Farmhouse in 2010
Why Valerie Baker-Munton chose Falerone
We had always dreamt of having a property in Italy and visited various regions looking for the right location but as soon as we saw southern Marche we knew this was the place for us. Totally unspoilt by tourism, beautiful views around every corner and hill top towns in abundance. With both coastal and mountain areas within easy reach.

A fantastic holiday experience in Le Marche
I have been returning to Le Marche since 2002. It is an incredible gem in rural Italy and unspoilt by tourism. My family stayed here for a summer holiday in August 2018 and we could not fault it. The property owner, Valarie, is lovely and was incredibly helpful prior to our visit, answering emails and providing suggestions in terms of beaches, restaurants, places to visit and shopping. Case Uccelli has been refurbished to a very high standard and both inside and out. The views from the private pool are breathtaking - I guarantee you will pinch yourself on a daily basis. It even has it's own allotment growing fruit and vegetables where you help yourself. The nearest house is 1/4 mile away and Falerone is .5 of a mile away. My family loved it and we will be returning for sure. Thanks Val.
Many thanks for your kind words and really pleased you enjoyed your stay at Casa Uccelli. We look forward to seeing you again next year.
Ideal family holiday
Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in this lovely home with great pool and fantastic views! Really appreciated being able to pick our fruit and vegetables fresh from the garden each day.
Really pleased you enjoyed your stay.
Great holiday home
A great place to spend a holiday, beautiful house, great pool and views. So relaxing and peaceful but close to all amenities. Lots to visit in the area, when we could drag the kids away from the pool! Only wished we could have stayed for longer.
Really pleased you enjoyed your stay and got to see some of the lovely places we have to visit in the area.
Excellent Italian Holiday
I very much enjoyed my holiday near Falerone in July. The farmhouse
was comfortable and well equipped and the views were superb. My favourite part was the pool, where you could be swimming and at the same time look over a field of flowering sunflowers to the mountains
It was a bonus to be able to help ourselves to the vegetables, tomatoes, and melons in the kitchen garden , and there were copious
ripe figs . The surrounding area was well worth visiting with Roman
remains, and walled hillside villages which we visited twice for fiestas.
We also found good local restaurants. What more could you want for a relaxing holiday ?
So pleased to know you enjoyed your stay and took the opportunity to enjoy the local hillside villages and their summer fiestas.
40 minute drive to sandy beaches. The nearest beaches around Porto San Giorgio are sandy and safe with sunbeds, umbrellas and changing facilities available. Seafood restaurants for lunch or dinner are actually on the beach itself. Local fresh catch daily. Travelling further to the south you come to the 'grander' resort of San Benedetto del Tronto. To the north there is the picturesque 'Conero Riviera' with shingle beaches, beautiful scenery and delicious seafood.
The nearest airport is at Ancona 75 minutes drive away.
