Our apartment sleeps 4 adults: 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom. It has a well equipped family kitchen with dining area, separate lounge with two large settees and Abbey View, family bathroom with wash hand basin, wc, bath and shower over, also with a separate WC. Spacious hallway for storage of bags, bikes etc. Car park within 20 yards at a cost of £6 per day. 100yds from main shopping streets and restaurants and 500 yards from Westcliffe and beach approach. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A NON-SMOKING PROPERTY. We are happy to accommodate 1 small dog. Our property is comprehensively alarmed for smoke and carbon monoxide.

We are Jenny and Lee Rogers. We have always loved Whitby and so decided to buy our own place there. We spend about 6 weeks to 8 weeks per year in the property and provide you with the opportunity to share it the remaining times.

We bought this apartment because we loved its location and the spectacular views it offers over the valley to the Abbey and Harbour. Silver Street is rapidly obtaining its own identity as a shopping street with craft shops, fish and chip shop, cheese shop, bistro, etc. We hope you love it as much as we do.
What makes this Apartment unique
The views are spectacular and the location is perfect to explore all aspects of the town. The car park 20 yards away can be a blessing when there are no spare spaces to be found on the roads.

The Famous Whitby Steps
The property was great, apart from the access to the bedrooms which are part of a loft conversion. The property is originally a beautiful Georgian house, however, the property has been split into two. The final flight of steps to the bedrooms is VERY steep and not really suitable for small children or the elderly. It would also benefit from an investment in new mattresses. Other than that it was fine.
Very sweet and charming Whiby holiday flat, nestled in the red tiled roofs, with views of the harbor
We had a great stay in this cosy Whitby flat. My kids aged 10 and 12 loved this place. It was clean and charming and equipped with everything we needed. Owner Jenny had even provided tea, coffee and fresh milk to welcome us home.
At night we would enjoy views of the harbor all lit up from our birdseye spot in the traditional Whitby houses. Overall a very pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend Chim Chimney cottage and go back again.

Lovely property, great view
We spent two nights here with our son and daughter-in-law and had a great time. The masionette is very well located for all of Whitby's attractions, bars and restaurants. It has all you need for a break away including beach equipment if you're lucky enough to get sunshine. Yes it's up a lot of stairs (45 I think!) but this is clear from the description, and the view from the double bedroom is worth the climb. Loved our stay and loved Whitby.

Well located, great to have free parking, comfortable house despite 5 flights of stairs! Beautifully styled. Lovely view from top bedroom, shame not from living room but lovely place for a short break- handy base to explore area.
Main beach 5 minutes walk with lift up and down if required.
A varied selection of cafes, restaurants, shops and bars all within easy walking distance. Steam railway station approx. 5 minutes walk, museum 5 minutes walk, Abbey and 199 steps 10 minute walk through beautiful cobbled streets with individual gift shops and coffee shops to visit en route.

Changeover Day: The property would need to be vacated by 10:00 and would be available from 15:00. Off-peak short breaks could be flexible-please ask. Notes on prices: Please call for a price for one of our short stays on any of our available dates. Prices start from £160 for a two-night stay and we will always do our best to accommodate you. We allow ONE dog for which a charge of £20 will be added to the rental to cover additional cleaning charges.
