About Andy & Fiona McWilliam
La Miniere was our family home for the four years that we lived in France. We spent a full year renovating the house from scratch, and have retained many of the original features, such as the huge oak ceiling beams and original quarry tiles. Our children spent their early years at the local school and through this we made many friends, both French and English. The house really is in a lovely location, with no noise or light pollution - very quiet and peaceful.

We bought La Miniere after stumbling across it almost by accident and fell in love with the house and the area immediately. We had come to France to live and really could not have found a more beautiful place. It is in a lovely area with lots to do and see, and is close to the northern sea ports for easy travel back to the U.K.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
We love the peace and quiet, and the lovely hot summers of course. The beach is only an hour away, but there are also swimming lakes close to the house. We walk and cycle in the forest, and love to visit the many markets in the area, such as Chateaubriant each Wednesday.

- Outside: 2 acre lawn garden, orchard, many other fruit trees, gravel terrace for outside dining, enclosed slate "piggery" with seating. Swing and slide in garden. Large family BBQ. Utility Room: Range of utility units, sink, back up fridge/freezer, washing machine. Cloak/wet room with separate W/C and basin. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and towels are provided. House is cleaned on changeover, however, we expect the house to be left in a clean and tidy condition on departure. Other: Entrance hall with leather sofa, table and carver chairs.
