Built in 2008 Villa Kairos is very spacious and fitted out to a very high specification. The key features are the panoramic views from the large lounge and the large top floor terrace and first floor balcony. The terraced garden features and heated pool with views directly over the lake. The property is on 3 floors with the lower floor consisting of a 2 bedroom apartment that is self contained and suitable for older children or a second family. Externally the garden is terraced the feature being the private pool offering stunning views over the lake and town of Ohrid

We found this site whilst holidaying in Ohrid. We were so taken by the area that we decided we wanted a holiday home here. When we found it, it was half built so we employed an architect to complete the design to our specification.
It was the stunning views that attracted us, together with the very friendly people of Ohrid. We love going on holiday here several time a year and have got to know all the good restaurants and attractions and spend many an hour sat on the balconies or by the pool enjoying the sunny weather and amazing views.

A gorgeous villa in a lovely location, very peaceful yet close to all local amenities with fine restaurants.
The villa is well equipped and there was nothing lacking, everywhere was spotlessly clean and the pool was a real bonus.
We would highly recommend this villa and struggle to think who it would not suit!
If anything the owners have undersold this property with their description and photos on the site. The finish and design are exceptional with the living area and terraces arranged to get the maximum benefit from the panoramic views from the property. And what views - we never tired of gazing out over the lake to the town beyond, every change in weather and lighting lent a new aspect to appreciate.
The standard of accommodation is extremely high and has every comfort you will need on your holiday. The pool is well landscaped and is great for cooling down after a trek up into the national park where the villa is set.
We had a great time exploring the area and found plenty of good places to eat serving food to suit all tastes. There is more than enough to see in the area, particularly for history buffs and we found the locals very friendly and helpful. It was refreshing to be in the minority as British holiday makers.
We've already booked again for next year and, given that the ages of our party ranged from 10 to 84 years old, that's the ultimate recommendation !
We have recently returned from our holiday in Ohrid and had a brilliant time- I would recommend this holiday to anyone.
There is plenty to see and do in the area or a great location to relax and enjoy the sunshine. The villa was perfect for us. The standard of accommodation was excellent and had all of the amenities we required. All the rooms were very generous in size, the outdoor spaces boasted fantastic views over the lake and enabled us to enjoy some beautiful sunsets whilst having dinner on the terrace. The pool was another great feature which didn’t disappoint. We were thoroughly impressed with the Villa and would definitely like to return.
As described on the website there are plenty of local attractions both in Ohrid and the surrounding area. We were even able to paraglide out over the lake on one of the days, which is another experience that we recommend.
All in all we were unsure of what to expect from Macedonia and in particular Ohrid as we had never been before, however we thoroughly enjoyed the holiday and would definitely like to return one day!
10 minute drive to the first of many lakeside beaches. All beaches have sun loungers and bars. The lake is crystal clear and beautiful for swimming.
Ohrid airport is approximately 15 minute drive. Skopje airport is approximately 2.5 hour drive with generally good roads. A hire car is recommended although not essential for this property. Bike hire is an option.
NOTE : From June 2015 there are direct flights from London, Luton, via Wizzair every Sunday and Wednesday to Ohrid airport which is 15 minutes from the villa.
The historic town of Ohrid is 2 - 3 km from the Villa. A 30 minute walk or 5 minute drive.
The town of Ohrid has many varied historic attractions and with its old town district of cobbled streets, museums, Samuels fort, the historic St Sophia Church and amphitheatre.
Numerous lakeside restaurants with live Macedonian music all add to the experience of culture.
There is a vibrant and extensive market held every day in the town.
There is a boardwalk along the towns lakeside which lead to other beaches, restaurants and bars. This also leads to a famous Basilica that is located on the cliff overlooking the lake.
The locals offer lots of boat taxi rides as well as larger boat trips to St Naum at the other end of the lake.
In July and August Ohrid hold the internationally renown Ohrid festival that attracts musicians from all over the world.
The walks along the lakeside are particularly attractive.
Further around the lake there are other numerous attractions and beaches, including the Bay of Bones museum and the St Naum Monastery.
The villa is located in the Galicica Park and contains numerous mountainside walks and cycle rides.

Saturdays and Sundays are the preferred changeover days but not essential. The property may be occupied after 4 pm on arrival day and departures must be by 10.00 am on departure day

The prices include all the accommodation, including the apartment and cover all electricity and cleaning bills. A 5% deposit to cover breakages will be retained and released within 2 weeks of departure.
