1 Porthminster Apartments is at the top of Porthminster Terrace, on the east side of St Ives, which means you don't have to negotiate the narrow streets of the town to get in and out. It is situated on the ground-floor of a recently converted end-of-terrace Victorian house with a dedicated private parking space, which is easily accessed, right outside the apartment. South-facing and sunny with a lovely sea view from the front garden and from the side bay window of the sitting room, the apartment is light and spacious, tastefully furnished and equipped to a high standard.
It has 2 twin bedrooms (with comfortable beds!). One bedroom has an en-suite bath + shower over, WC & washbasin and the courtyard leads from this bedroom. A separate large shower-room, washbasin & WC is next to the second bedroom which is quite separately located in the apartment. This provides considerable privacy - ideal for 2 couples or a couple with children.
A well fitted and equipped, open-plan kitchen leads from the spacious sitting/dining room where you have attractive, comfortable seating, plus a lovely coastal view from the side bay window.
Facilities include: free wi-fi, gas central heating/instant hot water, heated towel rails, duvets and bedding suppplied (towels can be supplied for a small extra charge), washer/dryer, electric fan oven, gas hob with extractor, microwave, freestanding fridge/freezer, dishwasher, double glazed throughout, flat screen digital TV in sitting room (Free-view included), DVD player.
Outside there is a front garden for guests' sole use and this also enjoys the fine sea view, plus a separate westerly facing courtyard for visitors' sole use. The location is quiet, yet a short 5-minute stroll to Porthminster beach, St Ives' bustling centre, harbour, galleries, restaurants and shops.
Please note that St Ives is hilly, and the apartment is situated on a short but fairly steep terrace. The walk to and from the beach and the town also involves some steps and it usually takes about 5 minutes to get to Porthminster beach or the town (see location map).
We offer a 100% refund if you need cancel more than 60 days before the start of the holiday. However, we do endeavour to re-let if you have to cancel within the 60 day period before your holiday. In the event that we are able to re-let, then we will refund your payment, less a £20 admin fee per week.
