2 Bedroom Property Set in Landscaped Gardens in Conservation Area of Midlothian near to Kings Acre Golf Course Rossyln Chapel

The Annexe is a 2 bedroom property attached to a Scottish Baronial House in the heart of the Broomieknowe historic conservation area on the edge of the picturesque village of Lasswade. It is very hard to believe that it is just 6 miles to Edinburgh's city centre with a great Bus route, the Bus stop is a 10 minute walk from the property. There are excellent facilities in the area a wide range of recreational and leisure facilities, as well as a number of golf courses including Kings Acre, Broomieknowe and the Melville Golf Centre.

The Pentland Hills offer a variety of picturesque walks and there is the Hillend dry ski slope. Lasswade is also well located for access to the City Bypass, with connections to Edinburgh Airport and the Central Scotland motorway network.

I just wanted to let you know we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in The Annexe. I have to say it was one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in over the years and by far the best equipped. It more than met our expectations and we would have loved to have stayed longer. The location was lovely and peaceful and yet had shops, restaurants and a bus stop nearby.

Thank you for renting out The Annexe, hopefully we may return at some point. Thanks too for the strawberries.

Luxury, comfort and a warm welcome!

It was an absolute joy to stay at this home as everything was provided and the owners made us feel very welcome. The property is secure, the interior of the home is spacious, clean, family friendly and beautifully decorated. The location is private and within an easy drive to Edinburgh and coastal villages. Janet and David were wonderful hosts - we will recommend to others.

The Annex

Beautiful apartment on a picture perfect property! Everything about it was lovely!

The location was great; extremely close to bus into Edinburgh and an easily walkable distance into the pretty town. Perfect for our Lanark excursions. The apartment itself: wonderfully decorated, extremely clean and comfortable. It was so great to meet Janet and her husband. I would give the Annex more stars if I could!

The Annex is a superb property which is attached to the owners home. This is not a problem at all as the living accommodation is on the first floor therefore giving it a very private feel. The location is lovely it is so peaceful, quiet and very relaxing. We have been staying in holiday cottages for the last 15 years and the Annex is our favourite. Everything

works very well the WIFI is excellent and the walk-in shower in the en-suite master bedroom is always lovely and hot, bliss !!

The owner Janet is a lovely lady and provided all the added extras that we take for granted at home but don't usually find

in rental accommodation. Nothing was too much trouble and she even provided fresh flowers and a welcome basket

which was very much appreciated. It is these little touches that make so much difference.

We left our car at the Annex and had a slow stroll round to the bus stop an easy 10 min walk at a slow pace and got the bus in to Edinburgh.

They run approx every 10 mins and at a cost of £1.50 each way was a bargain and so much easier than taking the car.

There is a Tesco supermarket 2 miles away so again easy to get to.

Our long Easter weekend went by all too quickly. We have now found a hidden gem that I am know we will be coming

back to again and again. 😃

Excellent Accommodation

This accommodation is in a peaceful location. It is immaculately clean and very well equipped. Both of the bedrooms are lovely, the upstairs bedroom is spacious and has an ensuite bathroom. The property is furnished to a very high standard and it had everything we needed. It was absolutely perfect for us and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh. The owner Janet made us feel welcome and she was very helpful. We are looking forward to going back again.

Outstanding accomodation!

I would thoroughly recommend this accomodation to everyone! Everything you need for comfort is there. The property was immaculately clean! The owners took very good care of my family and consequently made our stay a very memorable one. A local restaurant "The Paper Mill" was recommended and that too didn't disappoint. The quality of the food and service was excellent.

If I had one tiny critisism ( and I mean TINY), I would say the bed settee wasn't very comfortable, however the 2 double beds were AMAZING!

I've been so impressed by our stay at this property, I have posted it on Facebook to share with all friends and family who are thinking of visiting Edinburgh. It surpassed all my expectations and I would want them to have the same experience!

Truly a gem of a place and priced very reasonably!

Excellent, comfortable Scotland getaway

What a wonderful place to stay in Lasswade just outside of Edinburgh in an upper class neighborhood. The residence is attached to the owners house located on private, gated, beautiful grounds with gardens, and lovely landscaping.

The residence was perfectly clean and the beds were very comfortable. The residence is very modern with modern bathrooms and a nicely designed modern kitchen with all of the conveniences.

I would definitely stay at this location again when I am in the Edinburgh area. The owners were on vacation during our stay but they kept in contact by E-mal/text and repeatedly made sure were were comfortable in the residence. Definitely stay here if you are in the area, I can't recommend the location enough.
