About Laura Gray
I live with my husband and daughter in the main house. My husband and daughter work full time and I myself work part time.
Laura Gray purchased this Apartment in 2001
Why Laura Gray chose Virginia Water
We had lived in Virginia Water for many years we loved the area and had good friends here. Then my mother became unwell, we need a larger house. Chalk House came on the market with a self contained flat, perfect, my mum would be next door but independent. Goodnews, my mum recovered and never came, Then the aupair arrived to look after our daughter, but she's now grown up so we have an empty flat. We have fully refurbished the flat and would love to share it with people who would love to visit our beautiful part to the country.

Lovely place - Everything you could want
Spent 3 days here going to Hampton Court Flower Festival . Lovely clean well decorated and equipped garden apartment . Laura & David are a wealth of local knowledge advising on local restaurants ,travel routes etc . Plenty to do locally, good car parking & easy walk to local shops for bits & pieces . We will definitely come back.
Home...away from home.
Vacation planning and coordinating can be stressful. The Chalk House and all it's amenities of furnishings, cleanliness, central and easy location, security, access to transportation, and the "Virginia Water Village" makes it feel like a vacation away from your vacation. We felt fortunate it was available for our 6 day stay. Could not have asked for anything more or better! Terrific hosts that were most welcoming. helpful, and accommodating. It was a memorable stay!
Lovely place for a 'runaway parent' break!
Comfortable clean place, with everything you need, and lovely friendly couple.
Home from home - (and minus the kids!!),
Plus the Lake and Gardens nearby are wonderful!
Superbly appointed accommodation, ideally located for exploring the area.
Would recommend without hesitation.
We had a wonderful stay, Laura and David were a really lovely couple, so helpful. Advised us of the best places to visit. The apartment had everything you could wish for, to make a home from home stay. Within two minutes walk from the apartment you had a good selection of shops, including a Budgens well stocked supermarket and a lovely patisserie, with cakes you could not resist. Two minutes walk from these shops were another selection, opposite Virginia Water Station, these included a café for morning coffee/breakfast. Among both sets of shops were a Chinese, Indian and Pizza Restaurants, and also a silver service Italian Restaurant, wonderful for that special occasion. Many places of interest within not too far car ride away, all in all a great place to stay.
Everything we needed for a relaxing week away
clean, practical and tastefully decorated, well kitted-out apartment, beautiful garden, great location and fabulous hosts!
London Heathrow 15 minutes drive, London Gatwick 40 minutes drive. Although train station only 5 minutes walk for some sight seeing a car is recommended owners can advise.
Virginia Water village 2 minutes walk. Egham 10 minute drive. Staines with many national chain stores e.g. Debenhams Top Shop M & S, and BHS only 15 minutes drive. JFK memorial at Runnymede is close by. Kew Gardens is just a short train ride, and Surrey's County town Guildford is about 30 minutes away. If you fancy a vineyard tour Denbies the second largest vineyard in England is just 40 minutes.
