Fantastic house in lovely town
We had a wonderful long weekend in this lovely house. The highlight for us was the lovely views from the front of the house, so relaxing watching the boats go by. The house was very well equipped. Our children noticed the stash of board games just as we were leaving!
There were lots of steps up to the property but we managed this fine even with a toddler in tow.
The only slight niggle was that rubbish and recycling needs to be taken away (if you are not leaving on bin day) but we could not find any information on where to dispose of this.
Overall a lovely stay and would love to return
Lovely house, very clean and comfortable, highly recommended
A real find
We arrived at Out of the blue later than anticipated but got inside the property no hassle. Welcome items ie milk and tea a real bonus.
The walk to the town is great with some lovely little shops. Few restaurants within walking distance.
The view from the property was amazing. Our boys spent 3 days watching the boats.
We were lucky with the weather. Went to the shipwreck museum in Charlestown one of the days.
The communication with Chris was great.
Would love to return one day.
We loved it.
Cozy and comfortable
A comfortable stay in this gem of a property right in the heart of Fowey. The river view was a real time waster and a great way to unwind watching the boats going to and fro. A great location being just a short walk from some fine shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Spotlessly clean and a very comfortable place to chill. Highly recommend in every respect.
Very comfortable, everything we needed, amazing views of the river
It was lovely to be able to sit up on bed with a coffee in the early morning and watch the river come to life. This little house provided all we needed for a great stay in Fowey. It is really convenient for the car parks and an easy walk into town along the river. It was really comfortable- a real find. Thank you.
Perfect holiday home in the perfect location!
Me and my family stayed here for a weeks holiday. It was our first time visiting Cornwall and we are so happy we chose this location. Fowey is beautiful and all the shops, cafes, ice cream places were brilliant! We went crabbing most days right outside and also days out at The Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan only a short drive. Also visited Lands End, St. Michaels Mount and Newquay which were not too far. Car park is a 2 minute walk from property which is ideal and centre about a 5 minute walk. The views from the property are amazing and everything was lovely and clean. I would definitely book this property again for our next holiday to Cornwall! Thank you so much for a great holiday.
Readymoney Cove is the nearest, sheltered, sandy beach, which is a short 15 minute stroll away.
The nearest airport is Newquay, approximately 45 minutes away.
The nearest railway station is at Par approx 5 miles away.
Eden Project 8 miles.
Fowey has a delightful village atmosphere with many good quality restaurants and pubs. There are banks (including ATMs), an artisan bakery, butchers/deli, fishmonger, wine merchant, book shops, small supermarket (with a sub-Post Office) and several clothes and specialist shops. There are also two sailing clubs, a chandlers, and quirky gift and antique shops to browse in.
Take the passenger water taxi to nearby Polruan or the car ferry to Boddinnick, visiting the Ferryside, the former home of Daphne Dumarier. Regular cruises also run from the harbour to nearby Mevagissey. Several river kayak expeditions or self hire companies are also within a few moments walk from the cottage.
