We've tried to preserve as much of the traditional Portuguese style as possible, and have mixed this with typical European furnishings. The apartment has just been completely redecorated and part re-furnished. It's designed to be a 'home from home', cosy and welcoming. It easily accommodates 4 people, and with the two balconies, offers a feeling of added space. It does get hot here so we have air conditioning (master bedroom and living room) to keep it cool in the summer months. Equipment includes satellite TV and WiFi . The kitchen is fully equipped, and we have a washing machine and tumbler drier. The location is just minutes drive away from the beach, and the famous Ria Formosa nature reserve. It is surrounded by trails used for horse riding and walking in the woods and along the shoreline, and of course has those world class golf courses. So it's a perfect holiday choice for families, golfers and nature lovers alike.

We are a family of golfers who first discovered The Algarve on a golfing holiday. We spend several years coming over to Portugal and just fell in love with the area and people. It's been a wonderful location for our kids to grow up and develop, and to enjoy themselves on the golf courses, beaches and in the local nightspots. We finally decided to buy a property because we wanted to spend more time out here and a have a place of our own to give us as much space, privacy and freedom to do just as we wanted. It's been a perfect decision for us.

Nice apartment in a great location
The apartment has nice views overlooking the pool& lake, and is very spacious and would easily accommodate two couples or a family.
Kitchen is well equipped, but bathrooms possibly need some updating.
A welcome pack (as we have had on previous stays abroad with owners direct) with a few basic provisions and information about the apartment and local area would have been appreciated, and possibly earned it 5 stars that the area attracts. The ability to make a cup of tea or coffee on arrival, especially if arriving late in the day would be useful.
The area is quiet with plenty of room for parking and ideal for pool,beach or golf holiday.
We are extremely grateful to Stuart for writing this great review. We bought the apartment because of it's location overlooking the pool and lagoon, and it's lovely to see that others have enjoyed the views too.
It is our normal practice to provide a welcome pack, unfortunately staff shortages during the week meant that didn't happen. We can see, from these constructive comments, how important it is for guests to be provided with food and information and will make arrangements to ensure it does not happen again.
We're so glad Stuart appreciated the size of the apartment, it is roomy, another reason why we decided to buy it.

Just returned from apartment 311 at lakeside village
This was the third time in this apartment and it has never let us down,
It’s always spotless and well furnished.
Views are beautiful from the two balconies over looking the pool and the lake.
Going back in August.

We have just returned from a 5 night holiday. The apartment was in a great location and the view was beautiful. The apartment was clean, well furnished with all that is needed. Bathrooms are lovely. Hope to return.

Wonderful stylish apartment in a great location
A wonderful clean stylish apartment in an excellent quiet location in easy reach of all the local amenities… easy access to the beach, spoilt for choice on great chilled bars and quality restaurants. Not to mention the numerous golf courses within 15 minutes. The whole area around the apartment is so nice.
The apartment is very spacious and well-maintained. The tennis court is opposite the front of the property and the good sized swimming pool is in great shape, with plenty of sun beds and the attendants are frequently cleaning. The lake is just the other side of the pool, with numerous options to experience the lake. The pool and lake are over-looked by both balconies from the apartment and get the sun for most of the day…. So happy lazy days for the less active!
The local host Lucia, can’t do enough for you and is in frequent contact to ensure a great stay, so couldn’t wish for any more…
We would thoroughly recommend to our family and friends… and we will be back!
Clean modern spacious 2 bed apt grt view
We are a family with 2 young boys, looking for an apartment at Lakeside village, as we know the area and the development. We were delighted with the apartment, it was clean, well turned out and very spacious - All we wanted. In addition what we had not taken into consideration was the location within Lakeside. This is arguably one of the best located apartments, it looks right over the pool and the lake beyond.
This first floor apartment is spread over 2 floors. On the first floor there is a spacious kitchen and living area a twin en suite bedroom and an additional separate WC. There is also a lovely balcony/dining deck which is sheltered from view from the outside by a mature bougainvillea. Up stairs is a very large en suite master bedroom with a vast amount of storage and an additional sun deck with amazing views.
Generically the apartment is very well presented, clean and modern and I would recommend it to anyone. The only reason we have given 4 rather than 5 stars is because the bathrooms have not been upgraded recently (like many other apartments in Lakeside), but that is not to say there is anything wrong with them at all, they are clean and practical. There is TV & DVD player, but no English TV. We were not looking for UK TV per say, but without in apartment wifi, (there is wifi by the pool) there was no access to UK news and we were staying during the Olympics so would have been nice to have.
Finally I would say that the interaction with the owners has been fantastic, they have made themselves very available and willing to answer any questions as well as being multi lingual.
In summary, Lakeside is a fantastic location and this is one of the best located apartments in the development, it is clean, modern and very well turned out and it is owned by people who are very willing to help. I would highly recommend this apartment and would definitely rent again.
The closest airport is Faro which is just 25 minutes drive from the apartment. It's a very popular holiday destination, so many of the major airlines maintain a regular service to Faro. If you're driving, the main motorway is the A22 which has an exit junction leading into Almancil (6 Kilometres away). The motorway runs from Seville in Spain into Portugal and is a excellent link. The closest train station is in Almancil, and the nearest ferry sails from Faro.
