Cute cottage in the center of the northern highlands
This cottage was as adorable as it looked in the photos. It was clean and cozy. We never met the hosts but communicated wit
H a liaison via email which worked very smoothly. This location allows you to access much of the Highlands on day trips. We had an excellent stay.
Nice spaceful accomodation in a quiet location
The house was situated near a not too busy road and was well equipped. There was a nice back garden, with nice view. Enough possibilities for walking. Everything we needed was present. Washing machine in the barn next to the house. The owner (our landlord) was friendly.
Pure bliss !
I stayed in the cottage a solo traveller with my two dogs . I had a wonderful time relaxing at the cottage and exploring north Scotland. I travelled up to John o'groats , stopping at beautiful beaches and a forestry walk on route. I also went over to Ullapool and sat on the harbour and ate scallops. Another day out was up to Durness to a stunning almost tropical beach , and the drive to Tongue along the lochs was my favourite drive ever.
The cottage was cosy and well equipped and the owners popped by to check I had everything I needed and filled me in on the local walks ( a lovely one through the gate in the garden !). Absolutely loved the location. About 4 miles to the nearest shop (not supermarket).
Went to a local mountain bike trail and there are a few more routes I didnt get chance to try.
Robert showed me around Kyle cottage next door which was fabulous, and larger for those with more travellers in their party. Planning to return in the future and hopefully rent both for a lovely family holiday .
Never did find the bottom of the garden !
And I knit a pair of socks finally !
Thank you so much :))))
