The White House has been recently renovated to a high standard to provide very comfortable accommodation. The house is situated in a quiet and peaceful area within the Old walled City of Famagusta which is bursting with history and beautiful buildings to explore. Everything you need is within walking distance of the White House so car hire is not required. Shops, restaurants, banks, cafes and the mouth watering Petek patisserie are within 2-3 minutes walk.

Why Steven chose Famagusta Bay
I have been holidaying in North Cyprus for the past 13 years and fell in love with the people, the pace of life, the coast line and the Old Walled City of Famagusta. I decided that I would like to purchase a property in Famangusta as it is much quieter than other areas of the island. One year I stayed in a house within the Old Walled City and it was the best holiday I had ever had mainly because I could walk to the restaurant, bars and cafes and I could forget about my car. My love for property and good imagination lead me to purchase a derelict house. It was a blank canvas that I could work with to create a great home for when I retire.
What makes this House unique
The White House is located in a quiet and peaceful area but with in 2 minutes walk of all amenities. The house even has its own roof terrace where you can sit and enjoy the views of the surrounding city and port. The house has just been fully renovated and all of the furniture and fittings are brand new.

We have been travelling to North Cyprus for our holidays for many years now and previously visited Famagusta for a day visit but, when we saw this property advertised we thought it ideal for a relaxing break without the need to hire a car as we have always done before and decided to try it. We fell in love immediately. So clean, comfortable and so so quiet and peaceful. Steven the owner has furnished and decorated the house with great care and good taste and has supplied everything you could possibly need, and more, to make your stay comfortable. Location is great, short walk to shops and restaurants and , well we were spoilt for choice too with some really amazing food on offer. Wonderful. Delightful local people and so much to see within walking distance. We loved it. Thank you Steven for letting us stay in your beautiful house. We will be back. Jim and Joy

The White House is a magnificent property, well managed by the owner. It provided for us an oasis of tranquility yet should you require -all amenities are within walking distance.
An excellent venue to explore Northern Cyprus. We will return many times .
Amazing villa in a fantastic location
We’ve been to Cyprus a number of times and always stayed in an apartment in Iskele. This year we fancied staying somewhere more spacious and where there were options of evening entertainment on foot! And boy did we pick a winner! The villa immediately felt like home with every item you could ever need and loads more besides. And as for the location, well for me, this is the trendiest area I’ve seen in Northern Cyprus, with the exception of Kyrenia. Some fabulous bars with outdoor seating and live music and some fantastic restaurants. We’d originally planned on walking into the main part of Famagusta but it’s a bit of a trek with a buggy and the uneven Cypriot pavements! It’s only 5 mins away by car though and although a car’s not essential when staying at this villa, I’d advise it to be able to go to beaches further north etc. When renting a car either speak to the villa’s owner Steve who will have local contacts or if hiring one yourself, make sure you use a company based in Famagusta not Kyrenia, as the latter will slap on a hefty £50 delivery charge! Should be able to get one for around £15-17 a day and petrol is super cheap out there. Anyway if you’re looking for a well cared for home with all your home comforts, I seriously don’t think you could find better for your money. We’d return in a heartbeat! Oh and Brits, all the plug sockets are UK ones, so you don’t need European adapters. Finally, the owner Steve was incredibly efficient and a fantastic communicator-he really makes every effort for the whole rental process to be seamless. Do it!
This lovely ground floor 2 bed house with a large sunny roof terrace is ideally placed for visiting North Cyprus. The location inside the old city walls is excellent with lots of local shops, bars and restaurants, all within walking distance. The accommodation was clean and tidy and well equipped. The housekeeper Jackie was on hand and a great help.

The White House is a home from home,with lots of sun,everything you need is in the house.rooftop terrace terrific with shaded area.small mini market just a few steps away. Taxis shops cafes bars all on the main road. More cafes bars shops just off the main square. Perfect transport, with polite and very funny driver. Would not hesitate to go again. Beach far mor than 15/20 minute walk, especially in blazing sunshine.Thank You Steven.
What a great house.
A property placed in the right location, literally less than 5 minutes walk to all main shops, restaurants and bars within the castle walls. The house is beautiful, fully equipped and extremely spacious, enough for a small family or a couple. Home owner is very friendly and approachable at all times to help and answer any questions. When we arrived at the house it was spotless and a delight to arrive to.
Both bathrooms were also very nice and spacious.
The balcony area has also got furniture and cushions and extras boxed away so they are clean and fresh for us to use as and when required, alongside BBQ equipment ready to use.
Would highly recommend this place.
Special interest holidays:
There are many interests that can be found locally including, scuba diving, snorkelling, jet skiing, fishing, walking. There is also a new marina and golf course about 1 hours drive from The White House.
The beautiful Palm Beach is 4 minutes drive or about 15-20 minutes walk from the White House. There are many sandy beaches along Famagusta bay all within a short drive.
Traveling to The White House is easy. There is a choice of three airports.
Larnaca Airport in South Cyprus is about 35 minutes drive.
Paphos Airport in South Cyprus is about 2 hours drive.
Ercan Airport in North Cyprus is about 30 minutes drive.
Private taxi transfers and car hire can be arranged from all of these airports. Please ask if you require any assistance to arrange these.
Cafes, shops, and restaurants are within a 2 minute walk of the house. Outside of the Old City you can find every kind of retailer and an even greater choice of restaurants and cafes. Once you have explored the Old Walled City of Famagusta, there are many attractions within a 10 minute drive. For example St Barnabas Monastery, the magnificent Salamis ruins and Bogaz fishing harbour. A little further afield you can visit Kantara Castle and the beautiful unspoilt Karpaz peninsula.
The currency in North Cyprus is the Turkish Lira. The exchange rate is very good so North Cyprus is much cheaper compared to Euro zone holiday destinations. Euro and GB Sterling are widely accepted.
Booking Notes: There are various methods to pay. 1) You can pay by cheque to our UK address. 2) You can pay by bank/building society transfer to our UK account. 3) Paypal Changeover Day: The changeover day, arrival and departure times are flexible providing they do not effect other other bookings or potential bookings. Notes on prices: The prices quoted in the table are for 2 people. For 3 or 4 people there is an additional charge of £40 per week per person. For example from the 1st December to 31st January, the charge for 4 people staying for 1 week would be £385. From 1st April to 30 November, 4 people staying for 1 week would cost £425. £20 of electricity is included per week. This is more than enough but we have to stipulate this to discourage people from leaving the air conditioning running when they go out.
