Fabulous Cottage in Wonderful Location
We had a lovely 4 day stay here over the Easter Weekend. We were given a warm greeting by Martha when we arrived with a lovely home baked loaf of bread and Charlie the dog welcomed us with a waggy tail! The cottage was a lovely barn conversion and perfect for our stay. The location was great and the short walk (about a mile) to the picturesque coastline where the views and landscape take your breath away. We were left wanting to stay for longer and will certainly return here and hopefully stay in this lovely cottage again.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. Pembrokeshire is at its best with lovely spring sunshine. It would be great to see you again.
Everything in their stride
This is a lovely cottage. Imaginatively converted from an old Cart House everything is high quality. Very comfy bed. A real pleasure to stay in and so peaceful. Views to sea and hills are lovely, and walking is great. Martha is very helpful and caring, and a fount of knowledge of the area. We have stayed here 4 times so far.
Denise and Patrick from Eckington near Pershore.
Thank you Patrick for your lovely review. Its always a pleasure to see you and your family.
My wife and I stayed at the carthouse at the end of March with our pug,
The weather was really good, the view from the kitchen is stunning, open fields and from the lounge you can see the sea.
The cottage is very well equipped with everything you would need for a short break or a two week stay, the bed is the most comfortable one we have ever slept in, a wonderful relaxing sleep, there is very little noise around the cottage just the odd bird or Charlie the lurched popping by to say hello
Martha is very unobtrusive as a host, but if you need anything she's just a stone's throw away and she bakes lovely dress bread.
The cottage is ideal for exploring the coastal path or visiting the local pubs it takes about ten mins to walk into Dinas and if you fancy a trip to newport or fishguard and don't want to take the car there is a bus stop right outside the entrance to the farm
Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful relaxing break

Peace and quiet
An unexpected gift from our daughter brought us to your lovely property. This comfortable gem with lovely views in the peace and quiet of the countyside, was just what we needed after a traumatic time in our life. Within walking distance of great country walks and beautiful scenery. We will be recommending you to friends. Thank you. Ann and Ken Barber
Beautifully decorated and compact cottage
Perfect location for so many beaches and coastal walks, our dogs were in heaven! A well stocked kitchen with all the mod cons, comfortable king size bed and warm upstairs living room. Wonderful view from downstairs, watching the sunrise was a treat. The fresh loaf of delicious bread was a welcoming touch.
A lovely well presented, well equipped property in a quiet rural location. Sea and countryside views, with plenty of walking directly from the property. A delicious freshly baked loaf of bread awaits you on arrival, and a warm friendly welcome from the owners Martha and Mark and Charlie the dog. It was lovely to see Charlie and our Jasper play so well together, they certainly tired each other out! I would not hesitate to recommend The Carthouse to family and friends, and would happily stay again next time we visit the area.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. You certainly made the most of the walks from the house. Charlie and Jasper played so well together I think Charlie was disappointed to see you go. It would be great to see you all again,
Dinas has 2 local shops that sell most things We also have 2 pubs both of which serve food.
The nearby town of Newport is great for eating out or takeaways.
