A perfect apartment in York

  • 5 of 5

We found this apartment to be an ideal base for our stay in York. It was convenient for the centre with several eating places, such as Little Italy and a Tapas bar, within easy walking distance. The secure parking was an added bonus.

The accommodation was pleasantly quiet for a city apartment. It was well furnished throughout with a full range of equipment. Everywhere was very clean, the beds were really comfortable with good quality linen and towels being provided.

On arrival, Pauline made us very welcome and later went to great lengths to return a toilet bag which one of our party had inadvertently left behind!

Thank you, Pauline, we hope to return in the future.

28 County House, York

  • 5 of 5

The apartment at 28 County House was fantastic. The accomodation offered everything we could have needed. It was very clean and clearly well maintained. There is secure parking. Despite being within a large building there was no noise either within the building or from the surrounding area. The owner was very helpful prior to our arrival with information about the accomodation, she met us at the apartment and gave a very good rundown of the flat and the area. Very close to the centre of York with easy access to all the local attractions. There is a Sainsbury supermarket very close by. All in all a very good apartment which we would love to visit again and have already recommended it to our friends.

A great property, superbly located.

  • 5 of 5

Perfect location, less than 200 metres from the city walls and you can be in the main shops / minster in 5 minutes. Supermarket 100 metres. Secure off road parking. Apartment itself is spotlessly clean, very well equipped, quiet and has everything you need for your stay. Beds are very comfy. Highly recommended. Owners are very helpful and easy to deal with.

Excellent facilities, excellent location.

  • 5 of 5

We were met by the owner who showed us the facilities which were in excellent condition as was the whole of the property. It is ideal for up to six people and is ideally located just outside the City walls.

I recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Wonderfully Situated Holiday Flat in York

  • 5 of 5

I actually booked 28 County House for my family who were coming to visit me from the USA over Graduation at the University of York. Given the difficulty of securing accommodations during this busy time in York a three bed, self-catered flat just outside the city walls was a surprising and welcome find. The flat itself was charming (as was the owner who greeted us when we arrived to show us around the place) and the location (just outside Monkbar behind the Minster) really couldn't be better. The bedrooms were sizable and the beds (made up as doubles) were very comfortable. The kitchen and lounge are good-sized as well and the owners were kind enough to leave us a lovely basket of goodies to welcome us. The construction of the flat is a little quirky owing to the idiosyncrasies of the building but despite the shared windows (shared between both floors of the flat) and the somewhat loft-like openness of the second floor, once the doors were closed the spaces all felt perfectly private and comfortable. We had a few very minor hiccups (a temperamental washer and a missing set of towels) that were addressed quickly by the owners as soon as we informed them of the problems. All in all my family had a delightful stay in an unbeatable location in this lovely city.

Wonderful apartment in the centre of York

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and stylish apartment in the centre of York. It's within easy walking distance of the Minster and the Shambles. There is a supermarket nearby and a good choice of coffee shops and restaurants within 10 minutes. The apartment is spotlessly clean and the bedding is of excellent quality. This was an ideal base for my 50th birthday celebrations.
