In an elevated setting on a hillside farm and surrounded by stunning scenery across Sabden Valley towards Pendle Hill in the beautiful Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Approached along a farm track, The Boskins dates back to the 1700s and has been converted to offer a charming cottage, retaining original feature beams, underfloor heating, a wood burning stove for cooler days and complemented with contemporary furnishings of a very good standard, it is the perfect getaway at any time. The private patio is ideal for enjoying the peace and quiet or al fresco dining. The sheep and lambs in the spring graze the fields with walks directly from the cottage across countryside and woodland. The area offers plenty of opportunity for enjoyment such as walking and cycling, Pendle Ski club dry slopes and the challenge of Pendle Hill is just a few minutes away.

Great cottage in beautiful setting
Lovely converted barn in beautiful rural setting. The owners had the cottage well supplied with everything you would need!
Cosy, warm and lovely stay
We had a lovely stay in the cottage. The hot was amazing. The double bed was wonderful and it is so quiet and dark at night. We slept so good.
We will return.
Thank you for your review, glad you enjoyed your stay and our hot tub! You're welcome back with us any time.
The cottage was in a lovely location with wonderful views. Lots of walks from the doorstep and plenty of places to visit.
Sorry to leave
The cottage was very well equipped, comfortable and clean. It was the perfect base for getting out and about. The views from the farm are amazing and we loved being up on top of a hill away from everything. And, our daughter loved seeing the chickens, sheep and cows every day!
Good base to explore great hot tub
A good base to explore the area, hot tub great once you get it going. Couple of things needed attention in cottage like freezer not working and really noisy floor boards in bedrooms. Shower/bathroom ceiling not ideal for a tall family but overall a relaxing g few days
Great value for money!
Myself, my partner and another couple stayed here over New Year with 2 dogs. Overall the accommodation was clean, modern, comfortable and excellent value for money. However there were some negatives that we encountered during our stay; first was the cattle grid at the end of the drive which made it near enough impossible to take the dogs on a walk despite the place being 'pet friendly'. Our partners had to carry 2 large dogs over the cattle grid before and after walks just to get past it, as the dogs nearly broke their legs trying to get over it!! Second was the hot tub, we used a whole box worth of wood and nearly 5 hours trying to get the thing going and even then I wouldn't class it as 'hot'. When we then asked for more kindling the next day to try again, we were given half a small bag reluctantly which meant we couldn't use it again.
The accommodation advertises itself as 'pet friendly' and 'customer focused' but not once did we see the owners, despite them only living next door, even to ask if everything was okay and as for being 'pet friendly', if they made some alterations to the entrance to the farm it would be more accommodating.
Overall, the location was beautiful and the accommodation great value for money.
Less than a mile from the village of Sabden, and a few minutes drive from Whalley and Clitheroe
