About Simon Platt
Treescape is our own holiday home and we're here whenever we can be. Living in Edinburgh with our daughter, we've long had an ambition to have our own place here in the beautiful East Neuk. I grew up in Fife and have many happy memories of the beach in Elie, while Clare, originally from Cumbria, fell in love with Scotland and the Neuk while studying at Edinburgh University. We've been lucky enough to stay in many holiday rentals, in the UK and overseas; in Treescape, we've tried to incorporate the best of all of them. We hope you love being here as much as we do. Simon and Clare.

Why Simon Platt chose Leven
The East Neuk is one of our favourite places to be. We'd been searching for a property here for some time. But as soon as we found Treescape, we just knew this was the one. The sense of peace and quiet, the quality of the light and the high-end finishes were instantly appealing. And with seven acres of grounds to explore, you could quite happily stay in and around the house your whole stay.
What makes this Villa unique
Venture beyond your private estate and you have the whole of the East Neuk at your disposal. Elie beach is only ten minutes away. There are cycling paths, historic homes, pretty villages and some of the best local, sustainable food anywhere in the UK. All this and St Andrews too.

A villa in the country .. with a short walk to the beach … ideal!
Thanks for your lovely comments. Country and coast: two of my favourite things!
Gorgeous property if a beautiful location
Treescape is a gorgeous property set in a beautiful estate just a short walk into Elie.
The rooms are bright, airy and well proportioned. The living facilities are of excellent quality and very well catered for in terms of crockery, utensils etc.
Thoroughly recommend Treescape for a break away in the East Neuk.
Thanks for your lovely review and particularly for commenting on the provision of kitchen equipment and the like. We've tried to include everything guests (and ourselves!) may want in a holiday rental - and that includes all those important things that any keen cook would need. In fact we've just introduced even more goodies for the kitchen, from egg cups to new water jugs and even a new cocktail making set!
Treescape is lovely. Beautiful house, great furnishings, well appointed, with a great family garden.
Our long weekend here was for a family reunion, parents, children and siblings coming from various parts of Scotland and Chicago. We enjoyed the space and comfort at Treescape. It afforded us comfort, a pleasant dining area and kitchen and enough bedrooms for grandparents, parents and children!
A wee suggestion however....alter the spacing on the dishwasher...as the large dining plates are too large to fit in!
Also, Treescape is only a short pleasant walk from Elie, which is a fabulous wee village round a lovely bay/harbour.
Thanks for taking the time to draft a review; it's really appreciated. Not sure what happened with the dishwasher but it's all been sorted now.
We're delighted that we were able to host a family reunion for you and glad that you all had a great time in Treescape and Elie itself.
Perfect countryside retreat in Fife!
Well stocked, clean and spectacular. We stayed for 1 week July 2018 with 8 adults and 2 kids. The house was perfect for dining in and walking to town.
Thanks for the review Heather. I'll happily take 'spectacular' any time!
This is an excellent place. Gorgeous house, bright, spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The design is modern and exceptionally comfortable. We would happily spend a whole summer here if we could.
Perfect holiday home
A truly wonderful holiday home. Set in the magnificent grounds of Elie House in the besutiful village of Elie, Treescape is ideal for those wanting to enjoy the beauty of the Fife coast or the golfing majesty of St. Andrews. From the sumptious welcome pack to the fragrant soaps and gels; from the spacious, beautifully furnished lounge to the integrated music and entertainment system; from the huge kitchen, equipped with every imaginable utensil to the bedrooms with comfortable beds Simon and his wife have thought of everything. And then there is the fantastic garden which gives so much room for play and exploration. We were a group of eight adults and two small children. For us, Treescape was perfect.
Treescape is a truly tranquil place to be. Yet it lies within easy reach of Edinburgh and Glasgow.
It’s probably best, however, if you don’t rely on your satnav to get here: for some reason, many systems take you a mile or so away!
You can access Maps from our FB page Treescape Elie.
Or follow these directions:
From Edinburgh, the south and west
Cross the Forth Road Bridge and continue north on the M90. Leave the motorway at junction 2a (signposted Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy) and take the A92 dual carriageway east for around 18 miles.
At the first roundabout, turn right towards Kirkcaldy. At the next roundabout turn left, signposted Leven and St Andrews. This is the A915. Follow this road through Leven to Upper Largo.
In Upper Largo the road becomes the A917, signposted Elie. After one mile, turn right (still the A917) towards Elie.
Follow this road into the village, turning sharp left at the High Street. Follow the High Street until you are almost leaving the village as it heads towards St Monans.
The entrance to Elie House and Treescape is on the left between two stone arches, just before the speed derestriction signs. Follow this drive for a quarter of a mile. Treescape is the villa (number 3) closest to Elie House.
The nearest airport is Edinburgh International just over an hour away. The nearest train station is Markinch, on the East Coast mainline, 20 minutes away. Hire or own car is recommended to get the most out of the area.
