Peaceful in Horrabridge
It's a great little cottage, it's got everything you would need for a holiday in the cottage, peaceful and beautiful spot in Devon. Would definitely book again.
Nice location.. flexible hosts..
Nicely arranged furniture.. flexible host.. but a bit damp and lots of spiders webs.. Washing machine was an added bonus..
The family that own this cottage are really pleasant. They couldn't have done much more to make us feel at home, and even gave us veg from their garden. They have a lovely pet dog too which came around frequently to say hello!
The cottage is clean, quaint and a good base from which to explore the local area of outstanding natural beauty. Our family (my wife, son and I - plus pet Lab) stayed their for just four nights but we would definitely go back again.
Not much more we could say really - just so pleased that we found this nugget of gold on Dartmoor!
Comfortable cottage on the edge of Dartmoor
The cottage was ideal for my little break in Devon. Owners were very welcoming & helpful (especially when I had to contact them at 11pm regarding the bathroom tap - which was all sorted quickly).
Only slight comment is that internet being available could be an advantage but there again it can be a disadvantage!!!
Very comfortable cottage. Perfect for two people and our dogs
We had a very happy week at the cottage. It was clean and comfortable. Access was easy and we were made to feel very welcome. The cottage is in a perfect position to access Dartmoor and is also easy for getting around South West Devon with good access to Plymouth and Tavistock. The cottage was airy and it was very enjoyable sitting out in the gardens in the mornings and evenings. The dogs had plenty of space to wander around in without getting into any 'trouble.' The cottage is set in a very quiet and peaceful environment.
Thank you for your review. Glad you had a good stay with us. Hope to see you again soon!
The perfect escape for a week!
We had such a wonderful time at the coach house. It’s in a lovely location to explore Dartmoor and a short drive away from Tavistock and Plymouth. The facilities were spot on and the hosts were lovely, especially the daily visits from twiggy and Tilly, who our 9 month old fell in love with! We all had a fantastic holiday and it was just what we needed! Thank you!
Thank you for your lovely review. We’re glad you all enjoyed the coach house. Hope to see you again soon 😊

Plymouth is the nearest city and is just 12 miles away and it has a real metroploitan buzz. Steeped in history and linked to SIr Francis Drake and the Pilgrim Fathers, it also has a great harbour and lots of things to do. Check out the superb marine aquarium, go ice skating, or visit Drakes Shopping Mall. The village of Horrabridge is a 5 minute walk down the hill. The nearest town of Tavistock is a 10 minute drive.

Lydford Gorge is one of Devon's gems...it's the deepest gorge in the whole of the south West, and it's surrounded by ancient woodland.
The river Lyd at this stretch is fast flowing, and the gorge features two "must see" attractions - the White Lady Waterfall and Devil's Cauldron.
