This bright and attractive flat has two bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin. There is a modern and well equipped kitchen area and a comfortable dining/ living area with lovely views over the boating lake and marina. The flat has a large L-shaped covered balcony, an ideal spot on which to sit and watch the world go by. The flat is on the second floor and there is both a lift and staircase. There is a very good bakery just a few metres away from the flat and the small port of Dahouet also has a number of informal restaurants and bars and a small grocery. There is a lovely sheltered cove a few minutes walk away and at low tide you can walk across the beach to Pleneuf Val-Andre. There are a number of scallop trawlers which operate from the port and fresh fish can be bought on the quayside. Although the flat is not equipped with wifi, there is a wifi hotspot accessible from the port.

Lovely apartment in a fascinating spot
This apartment is comfortable and very well equipped. There is an ever-changing view from the balcony and we soon got used to the traffic (great fun on the evening that France won the World Cup). We took breakfast and most evening meals on the balcony. There is a wonderful boulangerie a few second's walk from the apartment. Watching the boats in the small harbour rise and fall on the tide was entertaining (as was the view of the little electric boats on the lake opposite). We tried several quayside cafes and restaurants and we'd suggest you try Zef, Quay 22 and L'Echouage (across the other side). There are plenty of good walks in the area. Paul, the owner, was very helpful with email and text messages. Highly recommended .
We are glad you enjoyed it, Paul and Lucy
The Apartment was well equipped fresh and clean
Great position just off the marina
From the balcony you could over look a boating lake and people watch.
We tour France on a motor bike and require secure parking which the oweners supplied in the form of a lockable garage
Stunning Waterside Apartment
A great apartment in an excellent location, there is a bakery less than a minute walk away which we used everyday ! The balcony provides great panoramic views of the lake and port. We made two day trips to St. Malo and Dinan, but came back each night to use the superb kitchen to cook dinner and then eat on the balcony !
There are many beaches nearby, including the main sands of Pléneuf-Val-André which are only a 10 minute walk from the apartment and one of the best beaches in Northern France ! Rooms are clean and modern, with plenty of storage. ALL parking in the surrounding area is FREE, with many spaces directly opposite the apartment. Would recommend !
Thanks for your very kind words, glad you liked it as much as we do.
This is apartment is as comfortable, spacious and light as the photographs show. It is also fitted out to a high standard. The views from it are even better in reality, we didn't want to put the blinds down until it was quite dark!
There is parking right outside and stair and lift access (great when you arrive and leave to get all your bags to and from the apartment).
Three doors down is a Patisserie opened for most of the day until early evening so perfect for those breakfast croissants, afternoon tea and that all important necessity, fresh French bread.
It is a 3 minutes walk to a café/restaurant with terrace looking across to the marina, ideal for a cold beer after a day exploring the area. It also had a very good menu displayed, (we had to leave a day early because of weather and boat time changes so missed eating here), the restaurant was only open in April on a Friday and Saturday, but would be fully open further into the season. An 8 minute walk down to the end of the quay takes you to an excellent Creperie which also serves a very good steak. We found it a real bonus to have these on the doorstep after a lot of driving in the day, as well as the pleasant stroll to be had around the quayside.
This is a beautiful lush area of France, with lovely coastal towns nearby, Val Andre and Pleneuf have spacious promenades and sea side restaurants as well as a variety of shops. We went to Cap Sud at the far end of the quay at Pleneuf for lunch (excellent) and with lovely stretches of golden beaches. Erquy is also well worth a visit for lunch or dinner , we went to the recommended L'abri des Flots for lunch on the terrace, food fabulous and staff so welcoming.
The owners supplied a lot of useful information to suit all needs , whether for the visitor just looking to relax and potter , enjoying the food and area or the more active visitor, sailing , golf etc.
You really are spoilt for diverse places to visit. Dinan (40mins away) , the nearby Chateau dela Hunaudaye nr Lamballe and Fort La Latte nr Cap Frehal are a must for those interested in medieval castles. There are many different traditional French markets in the area on different days, we enjoyed two, Lamballe and Matignon. You also seem to just fall over super markets on your way around so very easy to stock up the fridge on your way back to relax on the balcony.
We enjoyed getting back to the apartment after our day out, feeling quite at home. When circumstances allow we hope to visit again.
sehr zu empfehlen
