The property has three double rooms and is decorated to a very high standard. The village of Orford is close to the Suffolk coast and Snape Maltings home to the Aldeburgh Festival and galleries, shops and lovely walking country. The RSPB Minsmere is a few miles away and many other great bird watching places. You can sail from Orford out into the North Sea and wander up the East Anglian Coast. Being fairly flat it is great bicycling countryside along coastal paths or around the Suffolk lanes. Many local sites Suton Hoo, Framlingham with its Castle, Aldeburgh, Sothwold & Thorpness. The nearest golf course is Aldeburgh & Woodbridge which also has a large swimming pool.
Orford has lately been sited as one of the nicest villages in England and has great food shops, The Pump Street Bakery, Orford General Store which sells everything. Andrew's Butcher's shed, excellent meat, Pinney's for smoked & fresh fish and Oysters etc, and the hut on the Quay for Lobsters Crab and freshly caught fish. Two pubs, The Jolly Sailor being my favourite, and The Crown & Castle for more restaurant food (they are also a Hotel).
The Cottage has a very 'lived in feel' with antiques, books and some nice art, the garden is partly shaded and has seating for six around the table, a barbeque is supplied.
