Why Jane Acreman chose Honiton
This property is situated near the centre of the town. It offers a variety of antique shops as well as other local shops. It also has many restaurants and take away outlets making it very easy to cater for your holiday. Twice a week there is also a local street market. For those who like to visit the beach, Sidmouth is a lovely place for a seaside stroll and is only a 20 minute drive from the cottage. For the adventurors, there's the whole of Dartmoor to explore from wild ponies to cream teas. The historic navel town of Plymouth is only a 50 minute drive away and is well worth the journey. My family and I have enjoyed exploring the surrounding parts of Devon for numerous years. Every year we find new and exciting thing to explore.

Thanks for your review I am glad that you had a lovely holiday and enjoyed your stay in the cottage.
A cosy cottage in a convenient location.
The cottage was cosy as well as lovely and warm for us over the cold Christmas period. It slept 5 of us comfortably although we spent much of our time out and about visiting relatives. The parking was very convenient. For us it would have been really useful to have towels available as we travelled from overseas and of course our young people would have liked wifi. However we appreciate that the price is very reasonable probably due to these facilities not being available. My only criticism would be that the toaster didn't work and the kitchen wasn't spotlessly clean. However this didn't spoil our stay and we would book again.
Very comfy and every thing we needed was there
It was really comfy and we enjoyed the local eating like the Holt and Honiton Wine Bar. I would recommend staying in the house were very happy.
Interesting period cottage in good location for exploring Devon.
On the whole well presented small cottage.
One bedroom very tiny.
A few things need some attention, (note left for the owner ) . We enjoyed our stay but wouldn't want to spend too long indoors as downstairs is cold and dark.
Glad you enjoyed your stay. There is a storage heater as well as a large gas fire in the lounge so I don't understand why you were cold. As for the little bedroom I only advertIse and charge for a 2 bedroom cottage and the information states there is an additional room which is very small only suitable for a child.
Very clean and homely but not really suitable for people with mobility issues due to the very steep stairs.
Sorry that you had difficulties with the stairs. There is a stair rail to hold on to. Character cottages do tend to have steeper stairs. Glad that you found the cottage clean And comfortable.
Small but perfectly formed in a great location.
The cottage was perfect for our needs - right in the middle of Honiton, close to The Holt and a great selection of takeaways. The off road parking was really convenient and the rooms were comfortable. We would definitely stay again.
Sidmouth is a 20 minute drive, this is a large beach with sand and stones. There is a long promenade and is conveniently situated for the town which has a lovely old fashioned cinema.
Exmouth is a 30 minute drive and is a very family friendly sandy beach. This resort also has crazy golf, children’s boating lake and play area.
