All our cottages are tastefully decorated, characterful, fully equipped and now have free Wi-Fi - real home from homes! All cottages are centrally heated and one, Cherry Tree has a wood burning stove in the sitting room if you like having fires on winter evenings! The village of Great Snoring is just 6 miles from the fabulous north Norfolk coast at Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham. Places such as Royal Sandringham, Burnham Market, Holt, Blakeney, Brancaster, Sheringham and Cromer are all within easy reach. We are dog friendly too, (dogs must be over a 1 year old), all cottages have enclosed gardens and there is a lovely footpath just round the corner from us or of course you have beautiful dog friendly beaches close by. Many of our beaches allow dogs in the summer months too!! We have plenty of great golf courses dotted around the Norfolk coast, fantastic walking (inland and coastal), fishing, bird watching, a racecourse, some fabulous shopping opportunities and superb eateries!

- GolfThere are plenty of Golf Courses around! Great Links courses at Hunstanton, Royal West Norfolk (Brancaster) and Royal Cromer plus Royal Norwich a little further inland. In Fakenham we have an 8 hole course plus a Pitch 'n' Putt course on the outskirts of town.

- Notes on accommodation: All our cottages are centrally heated. They are tastefully decorated characterful and fully equipped. We have an extra bed, cot and highchair available at no extra cost - please book in advance! Outside: Clevency Cottages are situated in the heart of this peaceful village with a large main back garden, each cottage also has their own private and enclosed garden area's too so children and dogs are easily contained!! There is off street parking for one car per cottage although we can squeeze in an extra one or two when required! There is garden furniture, a barbecue and washing lines!

A lovely cottage in a very picturesque village. It was warm and cosy and had everything we needed. Dog friendly with an enclosed garden which was ideal. The cottage is close to some wonderful beaches and with easy access to local shops and pubs. Personally I would have liked a shower in the bathroom but this did not in any way affect our overall great impression of the cottage. We would happily return.

Good location for visiting Norfolk. Property was exactly as described and very clean and well furnished. Owners were easy to contact and very helpful. Excellent meals at Riddles and Black Bull in Walsingham 2 miles away. Holkham Hall visit excellent. Pleasantly surprised how quiet everywhere was in Norfolk during first week of school summer holidays. Beautiful beaches.

Location
Great Snoring, Fakenham, Norfolk, UK
Coast/Beach:
We have some fantastic beaches on the north Norfolk coast - The most amazing beach is just 6 miles away at Holkham (apparently it's the Queen's favourite beach) where you can have a family day out or walk your dog.
Wells beach is also quite beautiful - colourful beach huts line the pine woods and when the tide is out there is a huge expanse of sand and shallow pools when the tide is in.
Brancaster beach is also quite stunning!
Most of our beaches allow dogs even in the summer months.
Travel:
Nearest airport is Norwich - 25 miles away.
Train stations at Norwich and Kings Lynn - 25 miles away and at Sheringham - about 14 miles away.
A car really is recommended - or a bike but be warned, this part of Norfolk is not quite as flat as you might think!!
Distances:
Walsingham is the next village on from Great Snoring, just 2 miles away, they have plenty of shops and eateries! There are a couple of pubs, a great fish and chip shop & restaurant, a fantastic Farm Shop and a very tasty chocolate Deli!!
Fakenham is our nearest town, 4 miles away, they have a weekly market, pubs, restaurants, take-a-ways, cinema and even a racecourse!
Holt is just 10 miles away with lots of interesting shops and places to eat.
Burnham Market, Cley & Blakeney within 12 miles.
Further Details:
Fakenham has two large supermarkets, Tesco and Morrisons. There are also many banks, chemists, a couple of clothes shops and some gift shops. Plenty of cafe's and bars, weekly market selling a range of goods from antiques to junk, fruit & veg to clothes and shoes. There is also a weekly auction too - worth a visit just to watch!!
Holt is the second nearest town to Great Snoring and is definitely worth a trip - lots of lovely independent shops, many galleries and antique shops, a department store that boasts it's Food Hall is as good as Harrods! Also a number of great pubs, cafe's and restaurants.
The coastal towns and villages along the coast road such as Stiffkey, Blakeney, Cley, Morston, Wiverton, Thornham, Brancaster and The Burnhams offer seal trips, fresh mussels, Cromer Crab and really great pubs!
