An immaculate and very gracious period property which retains original historic features and is A grade listed. It is luxuriously outfitted with real wood floors, sumptuous soft furnishings and very high quality linens. The super king size bedroom is an oasis of calm with silk drapes and French oak furnishings and the living room exudes eclectic style with comfortable sofas and antique walnut furniture. In an exclusive and quiet sought after holiday location but a minute from restaurants, wine bars, art galleries and theatres the emphasis is on comfort and functionality and the apartment has been comprehensively updated to ease your settling in period and quick start your deserved break. All Edinburgh landmark sites are within walking distance and our city tram stop at York Place is an easy 180.00 meters walk. Upscale designer outlets are reachable within 10 minutes, some are much closer e.g Multrees Walk and Harvey Nichols. For those who appreciate the finer qualities of life!

My name is Alexandra and I live in Edinburgh. My partner is an engineer and I work part time for a property management company. My passion is dancing and my husband's passion is cycling. We have spent many holidays snowboarding or cycling but in the last few years we have slowed down on the sporting pursuits and like to explore new places on foot!

If you love historic property and want to experience Georgian character and luxury, you will not be disappointed.

The area is a UNESCO world heritage site and considered to be a masterpiece of city planning.

We have brought an 1840's property to life and the location belies the calm and peaceful feeling you get when you stay here.

The area Broughton has retained it's sense of community within the city, as we also benefit from the local shops and specialty outlets surrounding the property.

What makes this apartment unique

You would be never think our apartment was in the city so we love the fact that it is so quiet but literally 90 seconds (I've timed it) from Broughton Street where we can shop for basics or specialty items. There are so many restaurants, cafes and bars you are spoilt for choice. I love that we can walk to the main shops in and around Princes and George Street and our new tram system is up and running - 180 m and a 5 min walk from the apartment!

An apartment with class and beauty

Arriving via the airport tram to the apartment could not have been easier. Alexandra was there to greet us and give us some insights into the apartment and the area. The apartment was centrally located in the heart of Edinburgh with fine dining all around us. If you wanted to prepare meals in the apartment, you had a full kitchen minus an oven. A large Tesco was down the hill. As for the apartment it is nice Georgian (1820 - 1830) beautifully decorated flat. Big windows, tall ceilings and if you are into art and antiques Lyon & Turnbull Auctioneers are just at the end of the street (100 yards). The place was clean and well stocked. Just move in and enjoy your stay in Edinburgh. My wife and I would definitely like to use this apartment in our future visits to Edinburgh.

Perfect.

My boyfriend and I stayed for 5 nights and loved every minute! To start off the location was perfect and of course Edinburgh is AMAZING! And then to come back each day to this immaculate home was the icing on the cake! The apartment is gorgeous and the care taken in the decoration, furniture and upkeep was beyond compare! Alexandra has thought of everything and the attention to detail was impeccable. We loved having the choice to eat in and relax or walk to any of the area restaurants. I would recommend this place to everyone but I am afraid it will become so popular that we won't be able to book again! Thank you for a wonderful stay in Edinburgh!

Superb stay in superb accommodation

How lovely to open the door on such a clean and well cared for home.

Absolutely fantastic accommodation, extremely well-maintained and equipped with everything we needed. Lovely comfortable bed and ample storage space.

Alexandra showed us around on arrival and thoughtfully provides kitchen and bathroom essentials (in contrast to many holiday rentals).

All manner of indie shops, pubs, restaurants close by should you need them. A perfect location from which to explore Edinburgh.

This was an ideal base for our visit for the Fringe Festival and we had a really great stay at this excellent city apartment.

Alexandra really has thought of everything and we definitely recommend this property to all.

Fabulous all around

We stayed for two nights on the way to dropping our daughter off at school. The apartment is beautiful with extremely comfortable beds, and was very clean. Towels were soft and cozy. The apartment is on a quiet street with a nice selection of good restaurants nearby. It is also a short walk to Princes Street, which has a huge selection of stores which will meet all your shopping needs, if you are in need of shopping. If you are interested in culture, it is an easy walk from museums and galleries. Alexandra was accommodating, very nice, and gave us a lot of helpful advice, as well as flawless directions. I highly recommend this sensational apartment!

Great flat and landlady, and very comfortable!

We had a great stay in Edinburgh, and this flat was perfect for us. It was so clean and pretty, with easy access to everything. We had a small electrical issue, and Alexandra was there quickly and fixed the problem right away. We were in the flat for two weeks, and it truly felt like our home while we were there. I'd definitely recommend this rental to anyone staying in Edinburgh.

Lovely convenient and well equipped flat

Alexandra's flat is beautiful and has everything one or two people need for a great stay in Edinburgh. The apartment is wonderfully located in the New Town, and it is an easy walk to all the tourist areas. Leith Walk is a favorite and we always stop for a coffee or a meal along the way in Stockbridge. The only downside of the flat was the lack of good lighting in the bathroom. A light over the mirror would be a great addition.

Alexandra was friendly and helped us to get orientated to the flat and the area. We needed to leave our luggage after checking out, and the bus station is only a couple of blocks away and has convenient lockers.

The apartment is strictly non-smoking. We try to co-ordinate our guests arrivals and departures to meet their needs. Walk to everywhere so no need for a car. Parking is free anywhere in Broughton Place - even permit spaces?! - from Friday 5.30 pm to Monday 8.00 am and weekdays from 6pm through to 8 am. If you want to leave your car in a free parking zone it would be best to search Broughton area free parking as it changes quite regularly.
