On a clear day you can see the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada, as well as the Riff mountains of Africa. The shared pool is gorgeous, and secluded, and depending upon the season, often you will be the only people using it. There are restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. The shops and restaurants and beach at Elviria is a 6-7 minute drive away, and Marbella is around 20 minutes from the apartment. With marble floors throughout, WiFi and internet TV, this feels more like home than a standard rental apartment. There are wonderful walks you can take through the surrounding unspoilt hills, numerous golf courses in the close vicinity, and tennis club onsite. The nearby village of Elviria boasts at least 20 cafes, bars and restaurants, and includes every type of cuisine, from Spanish Tapas to Thai, Chinese and Italian. There is also a weekly open market held there. We do not allow smoking in this apartment.

About Paul Abadjian
We have two apartments in Marbella. at La Mairena (S24133) and at Torre Real (S24782). They are both owned by Paul and Jane Abadjian, who are brother and sister. Both have been furnished and specified as homes, not merely as places to rent out, so the fixtures and fittings tend to be quite stylish and luxurious. Paul lives in west Dorset with wife Fiona, two dogs and a small herd of Alpacas! They also offer a part of this property for holiday lets (Alpaca Cottage E 15146) Paul has enjoyed collecting classic Jaguars for more years than he cares to remember, and he and Fiona have enjoyed driving them in Russia, Argentina, Australia and Tasmania.

The location of this apartment is the best! It is in the hills above Elviria-only 6-7 minutes drive to the coast road, but a world away in terms of quiet tranquility. It has spectacular views down to the sea, and you can also walk in the mountains from there without driving. The pool is gorgeous, and you will often have it to yourself, and the beach is just 10 minutes away. It is a larger apartment than the majority of two bedroom apartments in the vicinity, and after viewing numerous other places first, we agreed to buy it within an hour of first seeing it! That says it all.

A place which is both stylish and restful, with large terraces, and a gorgeous pool. Nearby tennis and golf, and seaside. Marbella is only 20 minutes away, and that has everything you could possibly want, both summer and winter. The views from here will stay with you forever. The apartment has its own front door directly from the wonderful tropical gardens, so it has more of a feel of a villa rather than a typical apartment.

A wonderful summer holiday home
Just returned from a week here . A beautiful spot above Elveria with fabulous views of the coast . Very well presented apartment and great communication with the owner and their local agent .Car is essential but only short drive to Elveria with its many restaurants and shopping . Well recommended. A really enjoyable family holiday here

From start to finish, the communication and booking process was open, informative and very easy to do; the owners were very accommodating and welcoming from the off, a real pleasure to deal with.
The villa is very well equipped, clean and presented making your arrival and stay exactly what you want, a home from home. The location of the villa is very well kept, secure and extremely welcoming for either families with children, or a couple seeking a get away, with views over the Elviria hills and to the sea beyond.
A car is a must, but well worth it to get further into the local hills and towns where there's plenty to eat drink and do.
We will have no hesitation in booking again!!
Fantastic apartment in a beautiful location with stunning views
We stayed in La Mairena for a few weeks in July and it was great. The apartment is smart, very spacious, well equipped and very clean. The views from the terrace are unbeatable. A stunning location yet only minutes from the beach and local shops. Paul and Rosa could not have done more to make us feel welcome. They were quick to answer any questions and were always on call if we needed anything. I would highly recommend a visit to this beautiful spot. There is a great bar/bistro called Kudu just a few minutes away by foot with good food and again great views. Go check it out!
Another enjoyable stay in La Mairena
It was a pleasure to return to this beautiful apartment. I had missed the superb location and stunning views. Thanks again to Rosa, the apartment was immaculate and welcoming and I immediately felt at home and able to enjoy a wonderful two weeks in the sun.
High above the sea, but close enough to the beach
Spacious holiday flat with covered an uncovered terrace (sun and shadow as desired) located in a very nice andalusian style apartment complex with phantastic views ( sea and mountains). Nothing was missed besides a good orange press. Very comfortable beds and bedding.

The closest beach is at Elviria, which takes around 7 minutes driving. The large sandy beach runs for many miles in each direction, and there are numerous small beach restaurants and bars to enliven your visit. The world famous Nikki Beach is at this location, just by the Don Carlos hotel and offers a stylish option for sun bathing and dining
The nearest airport is Malaga, at around 45kms/40 minutes drive from the apartment. It is best to hire a car at the airport, and use it during your stay, as taxis will cost more and be less convenient.
Marbella is around 20 minutes drive west from the apartment. La Mairena is well situated to explore white villages of Andalucia and the famous historic town of Ronda, perched on a high plateau (2500 ft above sea level), all are within easy driving distance. Seville, Granada and Gibraltar can each be reached within 2/3 hours. In addition other popular locations such as Puerto Banus, Benahavis and Mijas are a short drive away.
There is a restaurant and a restaurant/bar located at La Mairena within 2 or 3 minutes walk. At the bottom of the hill (7 minutes drive)there is the small urbanisation of Eliviria which has a wide range of restaurants and shops, including two supermarkets, banks etc. Beyond this is the beach, with its restaurants, as well as the Don Carlos hotel with its own restaurants, bars, and stunning gardens.
Just 20 minutes away is Marbella, with its glorious old town, and world class selection, of shops, bars, and eateries.
